You guys should go look early for any of the things that are going to be on sale in the 9-05 ad, because I was able to purchase the 9 inch portable dvd player and 1gb mp3 player today. The sales girl wasn't going to let me have it because she said the sale date hadn't started yet, so she asked one of her co-workers, and he said if it's on the floor that they can sell it. Yay for me that I don't have to go stand in those midnight lines!!!!

Yes, and I just bought the 9 inch portable dvd player and 1gb mp3 player 2 days early! My walmart had them already out on the shelves. One woman wasn't going to sell them to me and she asked her co-worker about it, and he said, "If it's on the floor, we can sell it!" Lucky me, I don't have to stand in the midnight line!!!!

I hear that.....The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago when I put one in. I too had to wait 30 minutes but I was glad that the let me put some items in that had been clearanced. Guess I shouldn't be too excited about it after all though, because I noticed on my receipt that I was charged $5 for putting in the layaway. Then, as per the terms of their layaway, I came back in the store to pay 2 weeks later and the girl with "assistant manager" labeled on her name tag couldn't even get the register to work to take my payment and sent me up front to the registers, where only the service desk was open. And where I had to stand in line behind 6 other people. I said then that I'd never put another layaway in at K-mart, but now that Walmart is discontinuing theirs, I may have to bite that bullet and renig.....
