i am interested in being "adopted".

nothing jaw dropping for me this year. but last year it was the washer and dryer from sears. and i got it :)

I buy equal number of gifts for each child (each child has 5..for example) and try to stay as close as possible in price range. I had to start doing this because the oldest 2 would fuss if someone had more presents to open. And we take turns opening so that helps too.

i am in the same boat as you.

i am way behind this year...i have only about 5% done. last year at this time..I was almost done.

don't have any advice. (((hugs))) i was sad when my 8 yr old figured it last year.

i had no problems getting mine last year. and i did not get to sears till 6:30am. actually got an upgraded set because the set in the ad was sold out, they gave us the upgrade for the same price and i was able to pick up my set 2 days later.

we have 18,17,8,and 4. dd 18 moved out before christmas last year and dh and I decided to cut back on the spending for her since she is an adult and she no longer lives at home. We spend half of what we spent when she was living at home and will do this with all the kids.

my best black friday experience happens on a yearly basis. i love being with family and friends, shopping, and the standing in line meeting new people and sharing stories. and I love gottadeal for the heads up on black friday ads and the great deals they provide all year long!

in the past i have had pre-order items arrive on the day they come out, even when using standard shipping.

i have done toys r us in the past. the times i had good luck was when i was one of the first 10 in the door. got the items i wanted and was in and out in 10 mins. however if you are not one of the first few in line...then the check out lines are horrible. so if there is a must have item(s) on your list from toys r us..i suggest getting there early. i have done price adjusting at my local store and had no problems...but have never tried on back friday.
