Went through the ad. Disappointing as there's some items which are good buys, but nothing out of the norm from any regular sale. I see where one of their front page items is a Toshiba laptop, a very similar laptop to one Best Buy has today for the same price.

I don't need anymore tv's, but I do need a laptop.
The unit for $179.99 intrigues me. It is a 15.6 inch display and is made by Lenovo. But, what I admittedly don't know much about is the cpu, the AMD E-300.
Anyone have any experience with it and/or reviews?

Looks like the Staples® Sidley™ Luxura® Executive High-Back Chair is the best buy. That's kind of sad.....

It's just that this is such dated technology, which would be slow even for internet and word by todays standards.
In comparison, you'd be better off looking for a Pentium M (which is at least 6 year ol technology) laptop which would sell for less money, if you could even find it.
In reference to someone who just wants a basic laptop, there are much better deals available right now for less money.
For Example...

The laptop with a Sempron CPU and over $400.00?
Why not offer a laptop with a Pentium 2 CPU?
Sorry, but this is silly.
-
In reference to the laptop, the price is good but certainly not great. I would suggest to keep looking as I've seen much better systems on sale this year for just a couple of dollars more.
Black Friday does look very disappointing so far...

Crowds at Wal-Mart, Staples and local mall much, much smaller then past years in North East PA. Weather not bad...maybe the lack of great sales had an effect.

At least you wouldn't have to fight anyone for it at OD.
LOL!! And how true!
-
This might be the worst BF sales so far. The Olevia 37' lcd is $100.00 more then at Target!
What a thrill!
-
With the mostly weak advertised sales, far less then last year.
-
I wish we would see something like this for less then $500.00

I like good deals as much as anyone, and I rely on this forum for information. But, after reading about the threatening letters Brad is receiving, I will make it a point not to shop at those retailers on BF.
-
I also got the cancelation email today. Seeing that it was a pricing mistake, those that received their orders should do the right thing and return the items to Dell...(yes I'm being sarcastic).
-
So far so good with 2 orders recently. In the past, I have ordered sale items that they apparently oversold, leading to an order being cancelled.

IMO....The Micro Center Black Friday sales are far and away the best this season.

I agree. The Best Buy "Door Busters' are very dissapointing. Is it just me or were the sales better in the past?

Truly, due to the state of my finances I didn't spend nearly as much as in prior years.
The best deal I participated in was the TLC LED 39" TV which went live online around 1 am Thanksgiving morning from Tiger Direct. @ $129.00 after rebate, I still think that's the best deal I saw (although my opinion could change after I get it hooked up).
The only BM shopping I did at all was at Radio Shack this morning, around 10.30, where I picked up a couple of 32GB thumb drives for $10 a piece.
I have a strong suspicion we will see other sales this Holiday Season which might be even better than what we've seen in the past 48 hrs.
