  1. My Target experience today:

    3 Sunsilk products - 1.48 each

    Herbal Essence shampoo 1.47

    Pledge Multisurface 3.64

    1 dozen eggs 2.09

    Coupons

    1 off Pledge

    1.50, 1.50, and 2 off sunsilk

    2 off Herbal Essence

4.22 OOP (Requesting rebate for 3.64 for Pledge, so bottom line will be .54) The hair products were clearanced and mixed in with the regularly priced products on the shelf.

  2. I found:

    2 chairs in GB at 75% - from 89 to 22.

Sunsilk hair creme was 2.04 at 1 Target, and 2.54 at 2 Targets. This is a great deal with the $2 off Sunsilk stylers coupon in the 2/24 paper.

    Dirt Devil Kone for 19.99.

Double packs of Old Spice deoderant on the endcap for 1.99. $1 coupon is floating.

Doormat with winter theme (snowman) - 75% off - 2.48.

    These Targets are in MD.

  3. I found the 23" Wood Mahogany Ledge marked from 19.99 to 4.98 today.

    http://www.target.com/Home-Premium-Wood-Wall-Ledge/dp/B000R9HZUM/sr=1-4/qid=1203118399/ref=sr_1_4/601-7375611-1692101?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aledge&page=1

    One spot was at 75%.

I found newborn onesies, latex gloves for .25.

Valentine's day was marked to 50%.

There are decorative pillows that I have been watching for a while, that finally went to 50%. I also picked up an oversized throw that had original price, 9.98, was marked 6.98, but rang up 4.98.

They were moving a lot of stuff in small appliances. The aisles were filled with carts of boxes.

  4. Today I purchased from Target in MD

Schick Quatro Women's Gift Set 3.98 (Razor, Blades. Bath Fizzles, Relaxation CD)

Schick Titanium Gift Set 3.48 (Razor, Batteries, Speakers, Refill Cartridges)

Oil of Olay Regimen Gift Collection 5.72 (marked down from 22.89) Foaming Moisturizer, Hydrating Cream, Pore Refining Scrub

Used 2 Schick $4 off coupons and $1 off Olay facial products

Final price for everything with tax - 4.98 The only thing I paid for was the Olay Gift set.

Target employees were marking down the clearance sets as I was shopping, and they had not reached these sets, but the lower price was in the system when I scanned.

  5. Today at Target I purchased:

10 Sobe Life Waters (10 .50 sobe coupons)

1 Electrasol PowerTab 2.66 (2.25 electrasol mfr. coupon)

Schick Quatro Gift set w/ mp3 speakers 5.94 ($4 Schick mfr. ladies razor coupon)

Ziploc Big Bags 3.38 ($1 ziploc mfr. coupon)

Paid using 1 of 2 $5 GC rec'd from Glade Flameless Candle deal last month.

OOP $5.35 and $5 GC rec'd for purchasing 10 sobes

The toy clearance aisle was picked over - not much there. There are lots of Glade holiday scents around, Trio, Automatic Spray, candle, etc., if you can find a coupon to go with them.

OT: Today I learned that it makes more sense for me to buy the 2 pack of newspapers - list price $2 at a discount grocery store (10% off newpapers and magazines) = $1.86 for 2 papers, instead of paying the regular price for 1 paper - $1.50 + tax at a gas station or drugstore. An additional set of coupons for about .20.

  6. This deal shopping is addicting!!! 90% off xmas?? underheard of at any other store...

i found a few things, but since I live in Orange County and targets are everywhere I just want to get in the car and hit every store!!! I was soo close to the Rival Roaster today and missed them as an employee grabbed all 3 of them....

I found it at 3 targets today, but CVS does it too. Check that thread. One year I got 10 espresso machines at 90% off.

  7. I visited Targets in Lanham and Largo, MD today and they were taking the Christmas stuff off the shelves.

Lanham Target had the Christmas scented Glade scented oil candles (apple cinnamon) for $4.24. There is a $4 Glade candle coupon, so it came to .46. There is another coupon around for $3 off.

I purchased Christmas Barbie, 25 pack of mini pla-doh from the holiday section. It was 75% off.

  8. I'm thinking of buying the Glade Flameless candle with the BOGO & the $3 off mfr. coupon, bringing the price for the 2 candles to $6.98. You get 2 $5 gift cards with this purchase.

    I have 2 $2 Schick coupons.

I will use the gift cards to purchase the Schick gift sets with the $2 coupons. So I should be able to walk out the door with 2 Flameless Candles, and 2 Gift Sets for $6.98 out of pocket.

Anyone see any problems with this or a better way to stack it?

I've bought one and the gift set looks so nice that I'm afraid others will ask why I did not get them the same thing. I can also use the candles as presents.

I have been working my CVS deals so hard this week, that I forgot about Target.

  9. Target - South Park Season 10, Family Guy Season 4 - 14.98

    BB - South Park Seasons 4, 6, and 7 - $14.98

Sears - Kenmore Bagless Quick Clean Upright Vacuum - 49.99, plus used a $10 off $50 coupon - bought a filler to bring my total down $10 additional dollars.

    Ritz - 2 10.4 Smartparts Digital Photo Frames - $90 each

    Staples - $8 AR - 250 CD Holder

Eastbay - $20 Reebok Premier Running shoes

I'm still searching for good video editing software- Studio Plus is FAR, but Studio Ultimate has better reviews

  10. I think the biggest complaint about the BF "deals" are mainly in TV prices. There are no jaw-dropping deals like we saw last year. If there were a $300 32" LCD HDTV that would bring people out. I also would be pleased with a "brand" name 32" to be around the $400 range. If there were a 42" for $500-600 that also would get people out in droves.

Maybe this just isn't the year. Last year before BF, HDTVs were not selling as expected. That led to some insane BF deals. Typically, after a year of technology improving, last year's TVs should be significantly cheaper. Of course as we all know, they are not. K-Mart is selling pretty much the same Olevia 32 " HDTV (for their thanksgiving sale) at $420 that was sub $400 at Microcenter or around ~$450 at other places last year. This year's cheapest HDTV that is 32+" is Circuit City's Element 32 " that is $400, and if you look at the feedback on this TV at their website you will see that it is HORRIBLE even at that price; it is much worse than the Olevia they were selling last year for $475!

I'm not really sure what is responsible, but HDTV prices are just generally out of whack across the board. It's like they can't figure out what the market will "bear" for HDTV prcies. And the truth is that HDTVs are still massively over-priced for the established brands. You could have a 32" HDTV for $480-850 right now depending on brand-- which is a huge differential for the same product, and that's not even a sale price. Is it worth it to pay twice as much for a Sony / Toshiba than a Vizio or Element? I don't know... But I really wish the industry would get their crap together. It's so freaking unstable right now, and as a result, there are a TON of disappointed people right now at this big dud of a Black Friday.

I think, overall, the retailers are trying to discount the least amount of money on their TVs and still bring out the crowds. I HOPE someone is reading the message boards around sites like this and will see that it's going to backfire on them BIG TIME.

I am holding out for some great last minute HDTV to go on sale like everyone else, but I'm not holding my breath.

When all the retailers see the numbers for this year's BF and see that the numbers are way down from last year, they will have no one to blame but themselves.

You're right. A 32" or 37" would have me standing in line and I haven't seen the quality/price combo that would justify it yet and I have to keep saying it = I miss my BBB bucks and BF is not the same without them. I will be out by 4 wandering around just for the heck of it. Kohl's is openining at 4 - maybe they'll have something I want. The only other thing I've seen are the TV DVDs at Target. I'll take a second look tonight though.

  11. This makes no sense to me. The last thing I will have time to do on Thursday, Thanksgving Day, is spend my time mapping out where I want to shop the next day. Between entertaining family and friends, and cooking a ginormous meal, the last thing I will have time to do is think about shopping at 4 a.m. the next day.

If I don't have access to the ads beforehand , I will let that turkey and eggnog kick in and enjoy the company of my guests and MAYBE I will stop at the stores later in the day to pick up a few DVDs.

I will be skipping the stores that are super aggressive about this.
