Target is Giving Out "Survival Kits" in select states
Littleone816 replied to juanadeal's topic in 2007
We got the kit, but we didn't get the stuffed dog! Target was amazingly organized this year, and my 9 year old who was with me (his first time) had a ball! But when we got the survival kits, I was surprised at how chintzy they were. I thought that they'd have a little more in them... Linda -
My son (9, 8 last year) was asking questions last year and found one of my flub ups ("Mom, there's a package out there that says DS Case on a postit!" -- Oops:smirk: ), but a story from his sitter told her he still believed... They were all in the car, and she asked who believed in Santa. Of course, nobody wanted to be the first to raise the hand, so they all kind of looked at each other... Then my son speaks up and says, "Well, my mom can't afford to buy all the things Santa does, so he must exist!" All the other kids agreed and his sitter had to try REALLY hard to not have a heart attack from stifling her laughter! I guess it does pay to take DS through all the clearance aisles ("Look mom! Clarence!") and let him know realistically when we can't afford something:)

I just called my Staples in IL, and they said that the 15 cent filler paper was an online mistake and was good for Sunday only (they've since retracted it). Now that blows.

I stopped by my local Staples (I'm in IL) and that top part wasn't on their ad. When I came home and checked, I noticed that yours was an ad for TN. The paper at mine was marked at $1.79 a pack, and there were too many people there to have them scan it. Perhaps I'll try again tomorrow...

Thank you SO much!!!!! I thought I was losing my mind!!!! Linda

I could have sworn when I looked online yesterday that I saw Staples had filler paper for $0.15 a pack. When I looked at the weekly flyer this morning, all I see is the circular with all the printers and stuff on the front. Anyone know if I was right, or was I seeing things yesterday? I need to get some paper for my sister's kids, and would like to get a good deal. Thanks, Linda

Back to School Deals - several retailers

You know, I commented to my mom that it was pretty dumb of Walgreens to not put a specific type of pen on the coupon. I didn't try for any of the super good pens, but I know the kind I got were a notch up from the ones in the picture. I was just shocked when I didn't see a specific type of pen... Just 10 packs! -

There is a coupon in the Walgreens ad for Papermate packs of pens and pencils (10 packs of pens and 5 or 10 packs of mechanical pencils) for $0.39 each, limit 3. When we went, we couldn't find the ones in the picture on the shelf, so I dragged a manager over who agreed with me that they weren't specific (the coupon only says "pens"), so if the packs I picked up didn't work, they'd price adjust them. And they did! I'm going to be going back to Walgreens probably today to grab some more!!! Linda -

After reading this board yesterday, I stopped in and got the DS's easter gift... they had one of the Color Explosion spinny art things (don't have it with me to say the actual name of it) marked down to $4.98!!!! I also grabbed some paper clips, gel pens, and other misc. stuff. Didn't think to go into the comforters or anything... Looks like I'm going to have to go back!:) -
Finally got off the phone, and the woman had NO Idea what I was talking about... then she told me it was out of stock. *shrug*

I'm having the same problem... there's no way to add it to the cart. I'm on hold with customer service now. Been on hold for about a half hour. Thank goodness for speakerphone!

Thanks for the welcomes! I was just tickled to be able to have something to contribute! This store was in Waukegan,IL, and I hope that some of the other stores had them. I went back and got 5 more (a total of 7 de-icer windshield washer fluids for under $7!) to stock up for next year!!! Okay, I'm WAY too excited about that:p

I was just at Target with my son for shoes, and decided to do a little walking around... Found a BUNCH of bottle of the de-icer windshield washer fluid marked to $.98!!!!!! I didn't have a cart on me, so I only grabbed two, but I'm planning on going back to stock up for next winter. In this store, it was on the back endcap near the vacuum cleaners. Linda (first post! WOO!)
