  1. If a CC store is closing they will not have BF sales. The stores that are closing are now run by a liquidation company. I would call your local store to find out 100%.

This is completely true. If your local CC is on the already released list of stores closing. The store won't open until 7am and no have anything in the BF ad. Even if they have something in stock that is in the BF ad, you will no get the BF ad price. CC ads are no longer valid in the CC stores that are closing.

  2. I noticed a few problems which came about not really becuase of the site, but just becuase some people refuse to search or look for the answer to their question.

There were far too many "Does <insert store> Price Match on BF?" and "When will these be available on <insert store>.com"

My suggestion to help reduce the redundant threads is to provide more stickies in each store sub-forum. For example, keep the Official Price Matching Thread open and active in the BF 2007 main forum, but also have a price matching sticky in each store sub-forum to make it more specific.

I would have also liked to see a more specific topics on the main electronics items like in the main BF forum, in each store specific sub-forum.

Basically, Id like to see the store specific sub-forums have their own identity in a sense. This way, if someone wants to know about the laptop at BB on BF, they know the BB forum is the place to go for information.

Problems that may arise from this that I can anticipate is people who want to compare laptops (using laptops as an example only) might create a thread and a conversation about another store's products and get away from the main idea of the sub-forum, which is store specific. The comparison charts can help out with that though.

Also, as mentioned by someone else already, a store specific sub-forum "What time to get inline" thread in each forum would be nice.

  3. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the 40" Sony 1080p at BB for $1949. I'll sleep on it tonight!

Ouch, $750 for 1080p. If you're going to spend $2k, I would get the 60" SXRD from CompUSA witha a free Xbox 360 to boot.

  4. I sm trying to order the SD 1GB Memory card as well. It shows up for $29.99. With Rebate, it is $2.99 + free shipping. Question is it acturally put a tax on $29.99 not $2.99 in addition, where one would get rabate? Any one can help here?

    Thanks.

Tax is always charged on your purchase amount. Your cart total will be $29.99, and thus tax will be on $29.99, not the after rebate price.

  5. I really want that 19 inch Samsung. Idiotic part is I saw it available then came back 15 minutes later to order it and found it had sold out. Guess that's what I get for being a newb to this. Hope it comes back now I have my cc taped to my forehead.

    :D

I would keep checking. I've been hearing of things going in and out of stock all morning.

  6. I wonder if this has to do with people adding it to their carts (thinking about buying it) then it not releasing the item back to inventory until they exit their webbrowser.

I think that the inventory is only affected once the order is placed. I don't think the inventory would be decreased by just adding it to your cart. I could be wrong though and your thought is a possible option for sure.
