I have the A610 and I think it's a leeeeetle bit better than the 620, but as far as battery life- phenomenal! I use 4 rechargable AAs and haven't swapped them out in a long time. I don't use the camera everyday, but I have no concerns with the batteries. On a trip or something, I'd probably top them off every night.
My ring pic was with the A 610 in handheld macro mode (which you didn't comment on, BTW )

This is happening with every phone I choose. I called Amzn and they said it's a website issue. So maybe I can get the E815 after all..

yup all new phone and contract. they changed the prices and it's -$50. there's no more phones at amazo.n for less than that for VZW
edit- no BT, EV-DO etc needed either.

looking for a good phone / good deal on it?
I was looking at the Nokia 6236i for -$50. I don't need data or a camera. Just good clear reception.

It's been slow for me too... just THIS site!
yes me too for several days, just this site.

neither. Because I don't consider you one of the more Geeky GD'ers, and you whipped that out. You seemed so normal....
hey baby, my PC is home brewed -- I'm the resident geek for my pals, but there are so many here that are way beyond my skills!

Wow! I'm impressed

Could you name your Internet Service Provider?
The site is normal for me:
C
why? all other sitea I visit are super-fast.
-
I access them from 1 location and it's still slow today.
-
How about the main site?
nope, i'd say close to 10 seconds to load it. it's been going on for a few days. painful to submit a reply to a thread- sometimes I get up and walk away to do something while waiting.. other sites are instantaneous and this used to be.
-
the last few days. slow to load threads, slow to change pages. just like molasses all the way around!
-
hey all- I got a free sub to consumer reports for 30 days, so I checked out what they had to say. They said you shouldn't get a dryer without a moisture sensor. They recommended the FrigidaireGLER642AS
over the Hotpoint, so I got that. I got a deal I think, for $299 installed with the disposal of the old one, plus tax. I paid, so it's a done deal!
PS = it's $367 + delivery+ tax at Lowe's
-
Thanks
I have a local store that offered me this for $297 installed + haul away the old, including tax ($279 before tax). I think it's a pretty good deal. Does anyone have a consumer reports sub to look it up?
Hotpoint (GE) NWSR483EB OR NWSR483EBWU OR NWSR483EB-WU
edit- looks like the price is about that- nothing too great about my deal. Would still like to see consumer report's review--signed up for the 30 day free trial.
-
budget about $300 delivered before tax.
are they likely to be on sale for father's day?
-
linens and things had one for about $80 last week. check them out

Those threads are in the semi-private Lounge forum, which you do not have access to. See this thread for more information:
oh, I thought that once you registered you had access. I didn't know there was a second level. is there any reason why a registered person would be excluded- ie what are the requirements to get into the lounge?

We bought two Sandisk Sansa M230's for $39.99 each during BF 2005. As an MP3 player it's great but the FM radio was terrible and could not get a clear signal. We tried our home (both floors), my work and my wifes work. So we ended up returning both of them.

oh that's bad news! I'm hoping that in the gym, where it's coming from the TV that's tuned to a certain frequency, that won't be a problem. Another reason to buy local!
What other solutions do you recommend?
-
Hey I have an ipod shuffle but I want an FM tuner so I can watch TV at the gym. I was thinking about a cheapo digital radio, but now I"m thinking the Sansa M130/230 might be better. ANy ideas? Is there a better deal or MP3 player? I read the M230 will be on sale at staples next week. Is the 130 better due to the expandable SD slot?
I missed some good deals last month at OD on the M230. Does anyone know how often they rerun their deals?
Note I primarily want the radio function. I have a $40 gift cert to OD and a 10/40 and $10 gift card to staples, and $40 to Dicks Sports, so I'd like to use those first.

Dillards clearance has nice things sometimes.

I haven't been to a RL since prob 1996-7.

I should point out that it's the default font size at GD.com that's troubling me. In IE, I can select view> text size> larger and it doesn't do anything. probably something to do with the skin. which is why I had posted it here. can we set it so we can choose font sizes?

MSIE and no, I won't go to Firefox
