  1. I purchased the $24 sams membership through groupon and when i placed order and it took me to my confirmation page it shows that expires dec 31, 2020. Anyone else purchase this and see the same thing. Maybe im missing something.

Edit- I just realized that the expiration date is when the groupon expires so you have to claim before then. Sorry, first time using them.

  2. Guess who’s kid decided he actually DID want a PS5?? Yep, mine! Ugh! The chances of getting my hands on one are roughly ZERO! Tried all day yesterday.

I tried also with the Walmart sale at the 6pm and 9pm times. Was able to get the item into my cart and get to the payment screen before everything went all haywire and froze and by the time the page loaded it said out of stock. Really looking for the Series X but either will do fine by me.

  3. Fact.

I was going to wait for BF to purchase a TV.  But I wasn't shopping for the cheapest TV out there, rather a specific TV...a 55" Samsung Q80.  Glad I didn't wait for BF.  Bought it from Amazon in Oct. for ~$200 cheaper than the current BF prices from Amazon, BB or WalMart.

Finally ventured forth yesterday about noon...went out to pick up some stuff ordered online from BB and Lowe's.  Lowe's had shoppers but parking lot only 1/4 full.  Shoppers milling around but not crowded at all.  Same with BB.  Parking lot less than 1/2 full....shoppers inside milling about but many doorbusters still available.  No real line at checkout.

Got to WalMart....had to pick up some cat litter and dreading having to be there on BF.  Amazingly, found a parking space almost in front of the doors.  People inside but, again, many of the doorbusters were still there.  On a whim, picked up one of the JBL bluetooth speakers for a friend.  Was a $20 doorbuster but over a dozen left that I could see...maybe more, just didn't look closely.

Sorta miss the days when CompUSA, Circuit City and Best Buy were all competing against one another with more ludicrous deals being released hourly by each leading up to the doors opening.

Same here I was looking specifically for a 65" Q9. Best Buy has it for $2199. Found mine, the exact same one on Ebay for $1699. Snatched that up real quick plus I got $100 in ebay bucks cause of the special ebay was doing at that time.

  4. I don't understand how the Amazon sale is working?  I thought the Ring 2 pack of indoor cameras were going to be on sale today?  But I can't seem to find them at the sale price?  I assumed it was going to be an all day sale, if not how do I know what time to come back and purchase?  Very confusing.

I wonder if its one of those deals that randomly pop up and you gotta get lucky finding. I wouldnt think so with it being ring cameras. Maybe if it was a special buy tv I could see them doing that. I just scrolled through the bf deals real quick and didn't see any upcoming or missed deals on those cameras. Hopefully you'll be able to snag it.

I read a review that said after you install the ring doorbell it makes your home doorbell inoperable. Is that the case? I’m going to assume that the ring function would come from a device?

I have the ring doorbell hardwired from my existing doorbell wiring(2 wires) and it rings through my 35-40 year old doorbell. You can also buy the chime unit that goes along with the doorbell if you don't want to hardwire or just looking for a new type of chime.

  6. Will be following this thread closely over the next couple months. I bought a 65" Samsung JS8500 about 4 years ago($1900). A couple months ago I noticed I started to get the dreaded edge bleed. Slowly since then its getting worse but also the whole screen in general is just getting darker. This picture use to be fantastic and I would get so many compliments on it. Anyways Im still sticking with Samsung. I have 4 other Samsungs in my house now. This is my very first problem with them and ive had Samsungs for 15 years now. Ill probably go with the Q9 series unless something new comes out before Christmas.

  7. Yes you must activate at time of purchase. You don't have to add a new line. The only bad thing about this deal if you're trying to give it as a gift on Christmas you really cant or the person receiving will know.

  8. Awesome! I know its a good deal. Never used a Mac before and been using Windows for the past 20 years and kind of skeptical of switching OS. All i hear though is positive reviews about them. I do need a new laptop. My 6 year old HP is on its last leg.

Edit: Welp i did it. I figured in the long run this is a lot better for me and if for some reason i dont like it or cant get used to it i can always sell it very easily with minimal loss.
