ok i was in radio shack yesterday and i am pretty chatty with the local guys that work there plus the district manager was there and i was told these two things: 1) they will price adjust to the ad for purcahses made now through black friday (this was from the dm) 2) to check with them monday because they will be having additional BF specials that are not advertised.
How cool! I was embarassed to find out there is a Radio Shack less than 10 minutes from my house and I had no idea. It's not a part of town that I do not go to frequently. But I have been 2 doors down from it recently and never knew it was there. I was discussing which location I was going to go to with my husband and he said "You know there is one right there by Payless".

Just got mine! They haven't even posted that they are available yet but I just checked the Crowdsaver and it said "Buy Now"...so I did!
What color did you get? They said it would be black, blue and red but I saw brown not black so I got the blue.I got the blue as well. This is for my 10yo daughter or else I would have gone with black. I hope it's a good one and she likes it.

The "Amazing Electronics" sale starts at 6am so I'm going to guess that's when the netbook will go on sale too. It's 1am here now so I guess I'll set my alarm for 6. Hopefully I can sleep.

The netbook will be on sale on walmart.com for $178 tomorrow morning. I don't know the time yet, I will post back when I know. I hope posting this doesn't make it so I don't get one.

Yup, if they get 5,000 "likes", which they will, they will have it online for $178. No word on exactly when or how many they will have.
That's pretty awesome. I went to their FB page and saw that they got the "likes" they wanted. That would make my day to be able to get one of those. Then I wouldn't have to stand in line somewhere else :)

They have a Crowd Saver deal on their Facebook. Acer ONE for $179, same as Radio Shack on BF, if they get 5000 "Likes". I think I will get that one instead of trying for the BB one online for BF.
Does this mean they will offer it if they get 5000 likes on FB? I'm sorry I have only had one cup of coffee this morning and am easily confused :)

Does anyone know about their limits? My hubby and I both want the netbook. Does Radio Shack do 1 per person or would I be able to get 2?

Does anyone know the Specs on the compaq netbook at best buy the one with 1gb and 160gb hd...I searched but Idk if its the same..I was also wondering if anyone know if this netbook will be on sale online and what time they usually go on sale onine...im in EST...i heard 3am but im not sure...I am so not goin to best buy but want the netbook...i cant camp out there...but wat number in line do you think i would have to be if i did go there and wat time should i go if I did go just for the netbook? do you think this will be a big item? its a 2 day sale so do you think i would be able to get it on saturday if not friday?? Would greatly appreciate any advice and help...thanks in advance
I can't help you with the specs, but earlier in this thread someone mentions buying it from another site a year ago and they had a good experience with it. Also, earlier in this thread, I asked what time I would need to get in line and the consensus was sometime early on Thanksgiving day. Hope that helps.

can i get that netbook thats 149.00 online ?? i can not be in line on wednesday ....the soonest i would be in line would be sometime late thursday. guess if that wont work i am out of luck
I don't know if it's going to be online but I bet, if it is, it will go fast. I am going to Radio Shack but my husband is going to try online for this one.

Has anyone been able to figure out what type of netbook TRU will have on BF? I am wondering if it really won't be worth the hassle that TRU brings and I should just spend more $$$ for a better one at Best Buy or Radio Shack.

If you want a netbook that will work for games and sites with Adobe Flash (many sites use this for games) they I would get the $149 one from Best Buy or the $179 one from Radio Shack. The $80-100 ones from Toys R Us and CVS are pretty much useless for that. They only have Windows CE (meant for phones) and might not have Flash capabilities.
thanks for the advice!! I have never done BB on BF but I am going to give it a shot this year. I wonder how early I need to get there if they open at 5am.

Hmm, I bet that Toshiba laptop will be on sale online...will try to get that. For anyone interested in a netbook, the compaq is great....got that for DD last year (it was available online).
So is it available at 5am online? If you can buy it online at all?

Ok, I am looking for something for my 10yo daughter. She wants a "laptop" but I was looking at the netbooks and then the Android. She just wants to get on the internet and play games and maybe look at YouTube videos.

You aren't dumb!! I had the same questions:DOk I am going to sound dumb here. What exactly can be done with Android and what exactly is it? I know there are android phones tablets etc. Can you go on the internet and browse? Do you need wi fi also with an android (phone/tablet) or is it built in to get on the internet. How does it work?? Can they be used as an ereader?
Thanks for any help here. Tablets are new to me, I have not really looked into them and I know nothing about Androids.

I think the ad is decent. I am dying for the Netbook. I don't even really care what the specs are. It's for my 10yo and she has been asking for one for 2 years. I wonder what would be a good time to get in line? How do you know if you can order online?
