  1. lol i had to hide a BED before . mattress and all.  moved the couch away from the wall slid it behind. and then put a blanket over the top. dont know how i got them from noticing .

I had to do something similar. I had a bike that was still in the box and put it behind the couch and covered it with a blanket. It worked because it was in the basement theatre room, so the lights are usually dim when we are down there. I have no clue how no one noticed the couch was like 2 feet away from the wall.

  2. I have been on the smart home kick lately. Picked up the Alexa devices last year for each of the rooms. Converted over to the colored Hue bulbs in all the rooms. So this year I'm looking to maybe find a good deal on a Nest Thermostat system. I missed them last year when they had them around $199. If I could find it at about $150 I'll hop on it ASAP. I am also on the hunt for a Ring Doorbell somewhere around $79-$99 for the newer slim models.

The Hue outdoor lights have just been released but I doubt if they will have any sales on them.

  3. A member posted a jacket yesterday that was listed on Aero's website for $11. It was an obvious mistake but I'm sure there were a bunch of people that benefited from it. That made me think of the Epic Fail Walmart.com experienced about 2 years ago when the website had a bunch of items listed for pennies on the dollar. I remember there were a few of us on here who managed to actually receive the deals we snagged online, but the majority of the items were canceled. I know I received a few of the video games and almost got an HD Projector for $18!

My question is has anyone ever found one of those oops items online that was well below what it should have been? Did the retailer honor the purchase? What was your best find?

  4. I would suggest getting the Kinect Bundle if you are going to get the Xbox One. Although the main reason would be for the games, it also unlocks tons of cool features with the Xbox alone. We use the voice activation a ton with ours. Simply tell the Xbox what you want to do and it responds, ei. turn on, turn off, watch tv, play a movie, and much more. There are also a bunch of free Kinect games and demos that can be downloaded through the Xbox Marketplace. This requires Xbox Live which is included in some of the bundles being offered.

  5. I just got a pretty good deal from TRU on the Skylanders Trapforce set. DD9 wanted the Dark edition because it comes with the Chaos Trap and Wildfire character. With the buy any Skylanders figure or accessory deal I purchased the case to hold the Traps and got 40% off the Wildfire character. Since it came to $30 I got the Chaos trap for free. I'll wait to pick up the Trapforce Starter Set on BF for $38 or before if walmart has them in the Saturday sales like last year.
  6. Easy way to check the prices on in-store Items is to download the walmart app. You can pull up the ad and also scan barcode sand it will give you prices for the store you are in. Most employees aren't even aware of the sale yet so you might not get accurate info.

if we preordered xbox one ghosts and already got it in the mail can we get the difference back?

tomorrow with their ad match guarantee you should be able to. I think they extended it to walmart.com also.
  7. Simple, I'm headed straight to Target for 2 iPad Airs ($479 each) and 1 of the Skylander Swap Force Starter packs at Walmart ($38.96). That will leave me just enough change to grab a Soft Pretzel from Aunt Annie's after checkout. By the way I will also have $200 to use later on an XBox One later on at Target with the gift cards I get from the iPad purchases.

Okay, I will take that $1,000 now! Preferably all $20's so I look like a baller.

  8. I was just at Ikea this weekend. I had to return an item that was mislabeled and figured I would get there early. It is Super Busy early as the restaurant opens earlier than the store and everyone was packing in for the $.99 breakfast! I'm guessing BF weekend would have a little more traffic in the morning. The BF sale list at the stores are usually limited to a few specific items so you might not have to fight the crowd and get there super early for your items. Another option is to talk to them about delivery if they offer it in your area. They made a mistake on our order and we had to make an hour plus trip back for an item the was in stock, but they couldn't get it for us until the next day since it wasn't on the floor. They offered the option of delivering it out to us to save us another trip. So if you already know the items you want you may be able to save yourself a trip. Although I just like going so I can see the setups and get other ideas. Plus I like the smell of the cinnamon buns!
