  1. Yes, that is what salvage means. In some areas they sell to Salvation Army or Goodwill (they do not donate it). In some areas they sell to Big Lots and other stores like them. They also sell to salvage companies that auction it off online. You can often see their salvage at Liquidation.com. There has been a lot less available to these stores that rely on salvage, so they are able to command higher prices for what is available now.

Yes this lady gets hers from a salvage company and resales it. That just sucks. Less for us.

  2. Got turned down for a PM today at Target. Competitor's ad showed Buy 1 Get 1 Free, regular price $9.99. The items are the same price at Target, so I tried to get them Buy 1 Get 1 Free. They said no, they can't do B1G1 offers. I said, but the price is clearly displayed in the ad. You can sell them to me for $5.00 each. They still said no. So I walked off and left what would have been my $70.00 purchase on the counter. I can understand if the competitors ad just said B1G1 with no price, but it had the regular price displayed. Disappointing to say the least.

Walmart will not price match a B1G1 free offer from another store also.

  3. Stacie...the Tide was at the Mission Target (Sh. Mission Pkwy & Metcalf)...it was Tide Total Care for $5.xx.

Today I saw the Brother Sewing Machine for $35.xx! I am not in the market but I wanted to get it anyway b/c that is such a good deal!

GI Joe and 2-packs of Backugan are FINALLY 75% off! Of course the one thing I wanted was gone.

Saw lots of Closetmaid storage things at 75% off ($5-8).

I'm watching the Kids Book organizer things...they are 50% off right now ($12.xx)...if anyone else is watching them and sees them at 75%, please post!!

Thank You. I am closer to the Ward Parkway store its by my job.

  4. Saw picture frames (the wood-like ones) for $1.18 today and about 10 big metal beverage tubs for $3.74...I had not seen these before, so I wonder if they found them in the back or something. Also lots of Tide on clearance at 30% off. I'm really watching the Pictureka Flipper games that are currently 50% off because inside of the Monopoly Card Game (that you can get for $.24 with the printable $5/1 Monopoly coupon on hasbro.com) there is a coupon for $5 off Pictureka Flipper (among others). Anyway, when it gets marked down to 75% off, I'm hoping to nab one for FREE. There are like 20 at each of my stores, so fingers are crossed.

Which target did you find the tide on clearance? TIA

  5. The fine here is over 300 dollars, and after fees it's over 400.

But at every intersection, there is a HUGE sign that says "Photo Enforced." The cameras are also humongous, so it's very obvious which intersection has a red light camera.

And it's not for just running the light - they've also been nabbing people here for not stopping long enough before making a right turn. If your city just installed the cameras, time how long the yellow lasts. You cannot get a ticket for going through the yellow, however some cities had shortened the length of time for their yellow light so that more red light tickets would occur. A lot of tickets were thrown out here due to that.

My boyfriend got the ticket for not stoping when turning right on a red light.

  6. Are you talking about the 8mm tapes from the old movie cameras before camcorders? My dad had a bunch of old 8mm tapes and I took them to a company here in town and had them converted. They turned out really good. It was kind of expensive but I did it for my parents for Christmas from my brother and I and they loved it. I also had them make 3 copies so we all have copies. They are great memories and are priceless.
  7. I stopped at my store that usually marks down toys on Wednesday this morning and no luck on the GI Joe/Backugan stuff. They were salvaging all of the fireplace stuff that was 75% off near the toy aisle, but no movement in toys. I'm going to check my other store tomorrow, I guess!

Which Target were they salvaging the fireplace stuff at? I am trying to get the table top heater for 75% off. TIA

  8. Woo! Found the Crayola sets from the Bulk Section at 75% off!

    ### Crayola "Tub of Fun": $2.48 (75% off)

    ### Crayola Pip Squeaks Large Set: $2.48 (75% off)

    ### Early Reader "Cars" Christmas book: $.88 (75% off)

    Also saw but didn't buy:

    ### Sharpie set of 8 all black: $2.xx (75% off)

    ### Pack of 10 spiral notebooks: ~$.88 (75% off)

    ### Pack of lined refill paper: ~$.88

I scanned a bunch of other things from the bulk section (food items, health care) and all were priced as marked, which was 15-30% off.

I went to Wardparkway and Lee's Summit and both were onlyy 15%-30% off in the bulk section. Bummer. There wasn't much left so I'm guessing when it does go that whoever is in the store will get it all. So I guess I won't go looking for it.
