  1. Thank you so much for your advice. I may look into Kohls, I have a 20% off coupon. I'm so leary of ordering from some of those online sites, you just never know. willandmel, do you have a website name that you dealt with, it will be too late for christmas now if they take 2-3 weeks, but maybe for future reference, I wil keep that site in mind. Thanks again, everyone!! Merry Christmas!
  2. We have a Walgreen's that opened near us, but I have never shopped there. How does the jingle cash work? I know it says good on next purchase. I saw quite a few things that would end up being free after jingle cash. Could I pay in 2 separate transactions and get all of the soap, toothpaste, etc that gives jingle cash and then in a separate transaction or later in the day make another purchase using the jingle cash??
  3. For the last 3 years I have been able to go into Kohls later in the evening the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, about an hour or 2 before closing, and I can get everything except the doorbusters at BF price. Then I don't have to stand in those awfully long lines and waste precious time on BF. I had even ordered a pair of diamond earrings online a few weeks before the BF sale paper came out and and they ended up being on sale so I took in my receipt to the store during the sale and they did a price adjustment to give me the difference and even gave me kohls cash!!
  4. Ok, my husband just glanced at my computer while I was reading the directions for the magnets and he thought I was looking up recipes. When I said oh no, getting craft ideas for Christmas he was like ohhh noo....already?? Haha, he should really know by now! I was thinking of getting the cards I bought last year out to start addressing!

Anyways, those magnets are definitely a must do for me this year- that is so cute! And I have never made the applesauce/cinnamon ornaments so this year it will be!

I made the tile coasters last year for my sister and she loved them! I wish I took pics, but I forgot! I found the info in this same thread last year.

Basically you purchase the tiles from Lowe's or Home Depot. I got the tumbled kind- they had a nice worn look. I printed out pictures of her children onto vellum. Then I printed out the phrase "live, laugh, love". I used glue to glue the pic and the phrase to each tile. After you let it set, cover the entire tile with modge podge. After that is dry, glue cork to the backs- which I found at Hobby Lobby. The glue seemed to seep through the vellum just enough to see the texture from the tile and they looked really vintage. They were great!

Did you find the directions for this on a website last year. They sound adorable. I think I might make them for gifts AND for myself.

  5. Is there a phone number we can call to be added to the mailing list for the toy book? I seem to remember having to drive to the nearest Target which is about 45 minutes from me to pick one up.
