Walmart Taking Steps To Prevent Another Black Friday Trampling
yoshi'sdad replied to georgiapeach717's topic in 2009
they said each store will handle their own plan. It could be interesting. The open thanksgiving day at 6:00 am could also spoil a lot of dinners for the ones that want to camp out for 24 hour in walmart. I personally don't need anything that badly to miss dinner with family -
thanks, I wasn't aware of that but the good thing is, there will be one less person at target this year. I am still holding out for best buy. If not, then oh well. I have 95 % of my shopping done already, I am just looking for a 52 inch lcd at a good price, if not, I can wait

Thanks for posting this. I am probably the only one who is disappointed with it but the really cheap items are no name brands that probably are worth what you pay for them. The ipod is the same deal that I got last weekend, plus I had a storecard discount. My kids are too old for toys and the electronics, other than perhaps the tv is not really a huge bargain. Target had a blue ray player for 99.00 last weekend by sharp. So the 149. one isn't such a great deal. I think perhaps this year, you could probably do better watching the sales. I am a newbie to BF and am looking forward to it but it seems like many stores, Target and Sears really have non spectacutlar sales this year.

I would like to get a 53 inch tv, but it seems like only the smaller ones are every on a good sale.

Do you keep track of how much $$ you spend on Christmas?
yoshi'sdad replied to angied64084's topic in 2009
I just read an article that this year according to the gallup poll, Americans will spend around $740.00 on Christmas this year. I have no idea how many people they buy for. I know this year My spending will be less. I have tweens now who want the higher end electronics. I plan on getting my family one expensive item and a few cheapo presents. How about you all. I have to purchase for 6 people this year, my budget is higher than the average but I will be spending about half as much last year -
I am a teacher and the best gift I ever received was just a card and nice letter from a student. I still have it 15 years later. I personally don't want to receive gifts, I am a high school teacher perhaps that is why. For my own kids in Elementary school, we gift gift baskets with mugs, coffees, teas, and sometime of chocolate.

I am looking for an 52 inch lcd tv. I will use it primarly for just tv's and movies, no sports, no gaming. I am looking at 120gh refresh rates and have it narrowed down to Sony, Panasonic, samsung or sharp. Any reccomendations on what stores to be looking at and or tv's. I am hoping I can pick one up for about 1000 but we shall see. I have a 52 inch projection tv now and I don't want to go smaller thanks -

this is true, state law will not allow something to be be sold for undercost. there were many angry people at my walmart in Wausau. They had a list and all laptops were sold out before 8.00
