if the ps3 was only gonna be in stores, wouldn't they have put a "IN-STORE ONLY" like they did for the cheap HP laptop?
I was thinking the same thing but she told me it is a item that will only be available in stores on Friday...I'm really hoping she doesn't know what she is talking about...

Not to spread FUD or anything but I just got off the phone with a bestbuy.com rep and she said the PS3 bundle is going to only be available for purchase in stores...I'm gonna stay up anyways and see...

You can't download maps or play certain parts of Halo 3 ODST. There are several other things I was told too by some college kids who are serious gamers. Why would you pay $200 anyway then another $60 or more when you can get an elite bundle w/Halo 3 ODST at Kmart on BF for $299?
It is your choice what you buy your kids but I personally know over 30 teenage boys and anyone of them will tell you they wouldn't want an Arcade Xbox360. I guess if their parents didn't have money and had to cut corners they'd be happy with anything though.
I wouldn't buy a hard drive on ebay either, I heard they are sellin banned/modded ones. Here is an article about it:

I think they are talking about consoles with mod chips installed being banned. I'm pretty sure you would be safe buying a used xBox hdd...

The fact that you don't see viruses on the Mac has nothing to do with it being superior at all. Apple only has 5% marketshare worldwide when it comes to personal computers. Virus/malware/trojan/worm writers aren't going waste their time on 5% of the world. They want the big fish... so they attack PC's.
Okay actually the main reason is Mac OS X has a Unix based file system & kernel hence it is harder to infect with a self-replicating program...

So I have my BF money but its in our checking account. We are awful at using money that we shouldnt so I was thinking of putting it on a pre-paid card. Has anyone used these are there any that wont have a bunch of fees? Or does anyone have any other ideas?

What is the average door buster price for PC's - I have never shopped for one on BF and I need one this year. Keep in mind, we dont need a GOOD computer just cheap, lol.
I'm gonna take a guess you will see quite a few between the $250-$450 mark

Ya pretty sure that is only in 7 Professional and above though...Which is why Windows 7 is so much better...XP mode. Heard of it? Gets anything that has no drivers appropriate for Win 7 to function in Win 7. Ought to try it out.

About the only trustworthy retailer that I've seen that sells refurbs with XP, outside ebay, is MicroCenter. But I have to wonder why anyone wants to put money into a system these days that has an operating system that is on its last legs, at least from the viewpoint of hardware support, updating, etc.
Why? Because it is a time-tested stable OS and there are still some peripherals that don't support Windows Vista and Win 7!
P.S. Geeksdotcom has many great deals on XP systems...

I always make at least 2 batches of this as it goes quickly... :)
Fantasy Fudge
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 12-oz. (340 g) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 7-oz. (198 g) jar Kraft Marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Combine sugar, butter and milk in heavy 2-1/2 quart saucepan; bring to full rolling bail, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate till melted. Add marshmallow creme, nuts & vanilla beat till blended. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Let cool and cut into 1-inch squares.
