Growing up my parents wouldn't let us put it up until my dad's bday 12/14....too long to wait! Torture to kids! So the tree goes up on Black Friday, just as soon as by bags are in the door! My son and I put the tree up, put the decorations on, hang lights, set out the nativity. My DH watches (he's sorta a scrooge) and tells us we are nuts. Then we wrap a few presents to put under the tree. I'm always exhausted from shopping, but it is so worth it!

We get up and head out to my parents house and pick up a paper on the way. My sister and I peruse the ads and she may pick out one or two things she wants me to pick up (she doesn't like shopping on BF?). We have dinner, pack up and head to the MIL/FIL for the other side. My MIL/and 2 SIL and I work over the ads and form a game plan for who will pick up what at which store. It is truly a refined battle plan. I'm getting pumped just thinking about it.....gads we need an ad!

We are doing a group family gift for my 70+ gma this year. We decided to get her a DS Lite. I was going to wait until BF in hopes it would be on sale, but was hesitant since we have our Christmas gathering the very next weekend. I ended up finding a nice bundle on Amazon for $138.99...it included DS lite, a carry bag, and Personal Trainer Cooking game (which she will LOVE).

I see a good price online and think "I'll just get this out of the way now" then my Black Friday shopper angel says, "Wait! You MAY get it cheaper in a couple of weeks......":confused:

Amazon has a 9 card, 6 ball package for $18.40, the 3 Ball, 3 Card Starter sets were $8.97. So it sounds like this is probably a safe early bird price if I'm not worried about getting the latest/newest editions? I know nothing about these toys and no one else I know does either. I need your help Black Friday peeps!

Was wondering about the Wii games myself. It'll be the first year for shopping for Wii items on BF. Were the prices really hot?

What items are YOU on the fence about?

My 5 year old wants Santa to bring him Bakugans Do I buy the starter set from Amazon for $18-$19 or will they run them on better specials on BF? I know that I will be able to get a bike that he wants on Sale. Think the "hit" DVDs will be at hot prices again this BF? Transformers, UP!, Night at Museum 2...and what price do you think they will hit at?

I buy my own Christmas and bday. I know what I want and I LOVE to shop (I am on this website waiting for an ad like an addict looking for fix) so DH says, I'll watch the kid, you go have fun! I always get what I want (within reason) and it always is the right size! I get so much joy out of shopping and and finding what I want! It's like a bonus gift. I suppose it just depends on your outlook.

I like to wait as long as possible to wrap. I tend to put off wrapping as long as possible though....something about being able to pull out the rubbermaid totes and staring at my hard earned gifts just makes me happy!:) Plus wrapping closer to the holiday really tends to put me more in the Christmas spirit!

I'll take any ad! We normally see more than one by now and I'm starting to really long for some new black friday ad material!
