google dead pixels. Sometimes you can massage them out by rubbing the area in a circle. If that dont work, go today and try to find 1 in left over in another store... Wishing you good luck.
Those that are complaining about no cd/dvd drive, you can order 1 that is usb connected.
Yes i read something like that im going to try this, and go back to the store and buy the warranty just for peace of mind. The CD/DVD drive does not bother me last time i used it in my old laptop was years ago, plus all the new notebooks coming out are getting rid of it. Consumes more battery power and adds weight.

I would have to say Office Depot last year was a bad experience for me, i was there to get some of their small deals they had last year and as i was ready to pay i was in line for around, a half an hour not because there was a huge line but the cashier was really slow. To top it all off as i was getting closer to be ringed up their debit/credit machine started malfunctioning and told us they only were gonna accept cash and i all i had was my debit card, so i had go to another line and wait again, which was really tedious and took a long time.

..and did not meet your expectations.
Im really happy with electronics i bought last year such as the 32" tv at Walmart which works perfect, although i gotta admit i did buy the extra warranty because i had my doubts. Also bought the 199 laptop which is still working okay, but it was 199 so i cant complain. You get what you pay for.....:)

Learned to research the products before the purchase. Did you know the Emerson plasma sold by Walmart for $450.00 on b/f really is made by Samsung. What a deal on this tv..
what about the 32" tv?

Went to outlet malls at midnight stood there til 2 am, headed home took a nap, woke up at 4:30 to get 32" tv at target but no luck, headed to office Depot to get $299 laptop but had none so i took the $442 one then ate breaakfeast and out of curiosity went to Walmart around 11 am and they brought out pallets of Emerson 32" so took one and headed home :]

Fry's Electronics Anaheim Ca. 3:00 P.M. 4 people in line.
Pretty good for not knowing what will be on sale, and what the prices of anything will be.

Which store has best laptop deal ?
-
any thoughts on hp $299 laptops offered at Office Depot and Staples??
-
The HP for $299 has an Intel Celeron I think 900 (or 800, hard to read right there)
The HP for $399 has an Intel Pentium T4300
The other stuff you probably can't tell without a model number, which if there were one I can't read it!
do any of those laptops have webcam?
-
and you know walmart will have a similar grouping in their ad for $3-4 as well - it's one of their yearly BF traditions, lol.
You get what you pay for :]
