  1. I hope you're wrong or anecdotal. My PS3 has been playing movies (db, dvd, and burned) for a year. So far, so good. Of course, we play a lot of games too, but I don't understand how *not* playing games would make matters worse.

senior techs had described it as some kind of overuse of the bd-disc drive which never made sense to me because the ps3 games are blu ray discs. when that particular issue came up, the unit got repaired as opposed to replaced because they would just replace the laser in the disc drive. if you're playing burned discs with no problem they've more than likely fixed that. the units in circulation when i was working at sony didn't play burned discs. glad to hear they are better now, it was looking bad for sony for a long time.

  2. no music yet but i'm not against it. i've started our christmas product displays in our store and when we sell down more of the halloween product (we usually get wiped out in the last minute rush), i'll be designing christmas packages and doing full blown decorating. i'm excited. i just wanna get through halloween, it's like pulling teeth in our store hahahah
  3. I wrap a.s.a.p. because I get all overblown and artistic with it. My motivation to start early is my excitement to wrap everything. I do it all up with ribbons and candy and stick with a color theme. I only wish they would let me get my fix out at work. Company doesn't wanna invest in paper this year :(
  4. Sooo... in my house we have five kitties, one momma and four little babies and we love them to pieces. My DH and I regard them as children and our friend has called us both "crazy cat ladies" (yes, both of us) so this year we are going gift crazy for our babies. They're all getting new collars and nametags, new toys, new snacks, nice dinners, kitty condos... pretty much the works. Does anyone else do this weird stuff for their pets? If so, where do you tend to find good deals on pet stuff?
  5. 1) sweet tv

    2) good games for xbox360 (they never drop the system down and it's already not badly priced as it is)

    3) high capacity zunes (fingers crossies?)

    4) sweet alarm clock with nature sounds and cd player

    5) whatever's the best deal out of a desktop or surround sound.

if we don't score a tv, i'm probably not gonna get the surround sound. i'm not hooking it up to my current 13" tv/vcr. my computer screen is bigger than my tv. :( i really want that tv.

also thinking about browsing camcorders but i might just hit up pawn shops on the same day to see what someone unloaded to go buy new stuff :D

  6. walkie talkies

    money

    ads

Our WM is open 24 hrs., so no need to camp, but I do pull a chair from sporting goods and have a seat if I am going to be in there all night or waiting in line for something. If the line is in electronics department, they will usually put different movies on all night so we at least have some entertainment, lol.

i wanna go to your walmart :(

  7. Sock Skates- Two pieces of plastic that you strap to your feet so you can skate on the rug. My friend's daughter broke her arm and another's son ended up with stitches in the his after he crashed and had a lamp land on his head. Everytime my kids see them, their eyes light up like a Christmas Tree (no pun intended)...especiallly when they're doing tricks off the tables. NO!! NO!!

hahahahha who the **** decided this was a good idea for anyone, let alone children? i think these companies are trying to support their medical stocks. that's the worst idea i've ever heard of.

  8. Around our house, I've banned no more of those little finger skateboards. Ds has a few of them and plays with them on his floor which is right above my livingroom couch. All I hear is flip, flip, flip, flip while he's watching tv. That and those little bouncy balls.:D

i'm buying my husband like 10 of them. send me your son's hahahah

  9. Is it just me thinking No Hannah Montana here ever? I watched her show once and didn't like it at all.

NO! cheers to that! i made the mistake of perusing a local mall in the midst of a hannah montana craze because she was performing that night a block away and it was terrible. 6 year olds in makeup and heels send me into a tizzy. i'm glad all the little girls in my life are over that.

  10. I remember hiding that Furby thing in the back corner of closet so it would shut up!

i did that one year with my little sister's furby and it literally died. she found it later, it made a groan and never worked again. even with new batteries hahahaha oh man, she hated that thing.

  11. PS3 is a fine system, but, I would prefer something that has all the features I want, and none of the extras I don't. There is also a pretty big price difference in the two.

    Samsung BD-P3600= $279 off sale

    PS3 = $299 off sale

Plus the PS3 isn't likely to go down much more than it is, it is too popular. The Samsung I am hoping will drop to maybe $199 or if I am really lucky $150.

    Thanks for the advise though.:)

i used to work at ps3 tech support and commonly, when people used them solely for bd movies they would brick (become useless without repair) shortly. i always felt bad so i warn people as much as possible. sorry, slightly ot.

  12. because i have a terrible temper, a fast mouth and don't like crowds as it is. i'm excited to participate but fearful i'll snap and be mean if someone gets the last t.v. ticket in front of me or something. i hope i can get in line in time. i just read up on what happened last year though and that sounds waaaaay worse than my crappy temper. sounds fine to me. and i'm gonna freeze my face off in the snow because i'm from vegas and this is my first year in a cold and snowy climate in almost 20 years.
  13. Thanks a bunch! That clears it up for and terrifies me at the same time hahahah j/k

and on another note... mayor goodman, vegas represent! hahaha man i hate that place.
