  1. Got in and out of every store by 6am with every single thing on my list. No pushing, no yelling, no drama. Everyone was actually extremely accommodating due to me being pregnant- even let me in Kohl's early to use the bathroom and browse before it opened.

I was first in line at Kohl's and I felt silly being there so early, but it was a good thing. I really wanted a down comforter and those FLEW off the shelves. They were super organized and gave the smack down to the line jumpers.

Target was a joke. They handed out maps which were completely WRONG. Hordes of people with carts were all running around in confusion because items were in their normal spots not where the map said they would be. I got everything on my list, but I didn't bother with movies which I kinda wanted. Not bad enough to try and find them though.

Wal-mart I went into just because I felt funny passing it up. All computers and gaming systems were gone, but there were plenty of TVs hanging around at 6ish. The hundred toys under $10.. yeah didn't see that. There was an aisle with about 5 toys for $10 and that was it. I wasn't there early enough to know if the new system worked or not. Must have because it was dead by the time I got there.

  2. I don't think there is any "final word". How can you know what every single Wal-Mart will do? You can't. Most of the things you've said aren't happening at my local store. It's great you have inside info, but acting as if this is the way it will go down in EVERY store is just going to lead to confusion. People are going to be upset when they arrive at their store and your final word is completely wrong for their store. So maybe you should make it clear you believe this is how it will go in some markets as to avoid pissed off and confused gottadealers.
  3. No one can tell you when because every store is completely different even stores in the same city can vary widely. Better to be safe than sorry so arrive at the earliest time you are comfortable with. Better to be early and be bored than late and leave empty handed.
  4. Well just hit the 6 month mark with these twins and have to do Black Friday alone as everyone bailed on me. I am a tad nervous that I will get exhausted early since I don't have any help. Oh well hope the people behind me don't mind me sitting in line instead of standing when possible.
  5. There is no " Secret Sale ". Every sale Wal-Mart has had thus far as been posted online and on TV. And it's not really a Saturday sale either.. the sale STARTS on Saturday, but last for days. You just most likely won't be able to find the items if they are hot after that day because they will be sold out. The only true Sat. sale is the Deal of the Day for that day which is also listed on their website.
  6. I got to Wal-mart at 7am and there were 2 people in line. I wanted the same thing as them- the 42 in Sharp- and they were talking loudly about their not being a per person limit. The cashier believed them and let them buy 3! I got the last one and the people behind me were SOL. I thought that was pretty crappy, but I let people behind me know about the BB sale so they wouldn't miss out. Our line was made up of all people from waaay out of town, I guess they knew their chances of getting an item were greater in a small town store.

They had someone there from corporate running the sale which I thought was interesting. They had tons of laptops, xboxs and dvd players so

  7. I am really hoping this is all rumors. Unless you go shopping with a huge entourage you will only be able to get one item.. that is nuts. I will go elsewhere if this turns out to be true which this early who really knows. I live in BFE so I'm sure they will be doing it in some @ssbackwards way so I don't know why I get riled up over the " offical " way things will be done LOL
  8. Best Buy is now offering a 42" Panasonic Plasma and the Insignia 42" LCD both for $498 to compete with the Sharp at Wal-Mart The Panny is 200 dollars off, the cheapest it has ever been. Panasonic is a far better quality brand then Sharp, which are known for poor quality and reliability. The Insignia is Best Buy's brand, but comes with a 2 year warranty, and are built with similar parts as the Sharp.

Couple options to look at for those looking for a cheap 40" to 42".

Is this a special sale or you can walk in anytime?
