  1. My daughter got not one, but two zhu zhu pets caught in her hair on C'mas morning. I had to cut her hair! They went right in the trash. Her cousin stuck them on her head, and away they went. I did get some pics of it, pretty funny, but I wasn't happy about cutting her hair.

YUP I think I posted the first "warning" on the first thread about the hair , its funny they all come with warning stickers ALL OVER now. "Do not put zhu zhu in , near , around hair"

  2. Got everything I needed , 42 inch LCD flat tv from walmart for $450-ish, got ALL the toys I needed from Walmart for $400 , DH even got Barbie pet vet center at TRU for $50 off BF price LOL by simply telling the lady the price he wanted it to be , the lines were so long she just punched it in so it wasn't the BF $79 but $29! Got My 5 yr old her iPhone and dock, hit up Old Navy got My lego game for xbox 360 and $5 fleeces for the fam.

Had a great black friday :D got everything for everyone , and got to see DH haggle! LMAO! Wish I could find another blu ray player... there is still time!

  3. So, he came home from school today and I showed him the link and asked him if it was it, and he put a cheesy smile on his face and then wiped it off right away and said, "whats it matter mom, you won't let us have any toy guns so why you keep bugging me about it?" Yeah, I won't let them have ANY toy guns AT ALL (not even nerf guns), so thats the reason he wouldn't ever tell me! He figured Santa would bring it to him and I wouldn't find out until after he opened it Christmas morning! Oh well, least I can let it go now... Thanks MingMingDucklin!

LOL glad I could help put the mystery to rest! Oooo like I said when mommy and daddy say no , try and con Santa into doing it LOL

  4. I think it was 2 years ago my son(then 11) wanted an "Abraham Lincoln hat".

I have no idea WHY...he didn't get it. He would have worn it and he's wierd enough as it is.(lol)

My 15y.o. DD wants a snuggie this year too. She's always cold and I can see her hobbling around in that thing.(lol)

My daughter , the ONLY thing she asked santa for last year was a snuggie! She was 4 at the time, I just did not understand why?!? LOL

  5. Okay my mom and I were having a conversation today. I only have 1 sibling. Anyhow, she now has 3 kids and I have 1 child. Well back when we each only had 1 child we started a trend of spending $200 per kid for Christmas gifts.

Then she had another, and I didn't know how to tell her I thought we needed to cut back then. Anyhow, now this year I'll have 3 kids in her family to buy for. To keep tradition- I'd have to spend $600.00 for her kids while she only has my 1 to buy for. I really want to approach her about spending less on my son and then I'll be able to afford to keep it fair across the board w/ her kids. I just can't do $600.00 for her kids alone. I was thinking about approaching her about taking it down to $75-100 for my son- and then I'll do the same on each of her kids.

She's already mad at my mother-- because my mom went the wrong route w/ it. She told my sister it wasn't fair that she spend so much more on her family than mine. So, she was going to cut each of her kids back and not my son. Rather, I think my mother should of set a budget she could afford and break it up equally between the grandkids no matter which family they are in.

So now my sister is already mad about Christmas....and I still need to approach her. How do other families handle this?

Ok , I have one , my step sister has 3 , and my brother has 5 lol what you do is DO NOT SET SPENDING LIMITS , just simply ask each kid what they want and buy it. That was everyone gets what they want and you don't go broke lol

  6. Ive checked it out on walmart.com & amazon.com ; and I think Im gonna pass on this for dd7. But if someone's dd happens to play with it before Christmas, I would live to hear about it.

Just bought it today and My DD5 LOVES IT! I find it kinda creepy lol the hair grows and her eyes change color!

But shes been non stop with it since lol

  7. Sock skates? I would soooo buy these for myself! Do they make them in adult sizes?

Though I have upset a many (ex) gfs single moms with "no-no" gifts. Apparently this was not a good gift... I was in Japan and her kids (who saw this bug fighting thing on an anime) wanted an arena for bugs to fight in so I got them one.

In my defence it said 14 years and up!!! The kid was clearly 14!
