  1. Important question I was looking for the answer to.

    Online, in-store or both?

Because if in-store only then rush to store Sunday morning only to be told "sold out!". Otherwise stay up till midnight only to stare at the dreaded spinning cursor. But it's an effort that might be worth it, only if successful.

  2. FWIW I'd be leery of refreshing page. I recall last year doing something that with a laptop they offered, only to be contacted by them days later explaining it was out-of-stock and could not be fulfilled. BUT, they went on to offer me a replacement. I didn't take it and don't buy from them this time of year. Good luck though.
  3. I ran into a problem they show an item to be in stock but then note that is no longer available...

    "In Stock

This product has been discontinued and is no longer available."

ok I called them and if you see (in red lettering) This product has been discontinued... it's not in stock and unavailable.

  4. Damn what am I doing wrong, I click on link, follow the path enter code and...

    Gift Cards & Promotional Codes

    There was a problem

    * We're sorry, we weren't able to save your gift card or promotional code information. Please enter it again or try using another form of payment.

    * A gift card or promotional code is required.

    * The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    :( meh

  5. For what I understand though, the substitute is of equal of greater value. Am I mistaken?

well that is the stickler. some say yes, others no. the point is that your not receiving the item you bought. it really is a gray area. in the end though it's your decision. what bothers me is that when you respond you feel as though your on a game show, take door number 1 -what is offered (don't know until your told what model will replace it) 2 - accept a refund and start searching all over. Problem is that it is a Christmas gift and time is a factor. I don't like feeling cornered in making a decision that I'll be pondering over.

  6. FWIW watch out for the ole switcheroo. Mine, and many others experience with these BB 'deals' that goes like this... go to the site, be excited that it's still available, buy it, wait, get email stating that it's on backorder, be asked (steered) if you would like to accept sub-stitute item, make (seemingly) desperate decision. Be aware. If Admin deems this inappropriate please dump it, not me. I'm just angry at having to going through this scenario. Or be lucky & happy. :)
