Another place to look if you are a student, parent of a student either k-12 or college or a teacher/someone that works at a school is http://techhead.org/. The IT people at the school I work at reccommended this site to me and I have used it a few times for great deals on software.
I checked out that site and it doesn't look to be any discount. Still searching for a deal . . .

I didn't realize I could get a discount for my 9 year old. I guess I always think "student" as college student.

Spend a little more money and get something good, atom processor is not very good. What are you looking to do on this laptop your looking for?
This would be a first laptop for my 10 year old DD. She goes on the internet, uses Word and PowerPoint, and views clips on Youtube. I don't want to spend a ton on my a laptop for my 10 year old, though.

All the ones I see in target, home depot, etc are those round dish types. We have one of those now and it's just not deep enough. KWIM? I'm looking for one that's deeper to hold more wood.

So I see the DSI deals we are seeing (Sears and TRU) are on the holiday colors. Which is fine. My DD HAS TO HAVE GREEN! Just like my DS HAD TO HAVE MARIO RED in an XL. So I guess since she HAS TO HAVE green she'll get a DSI and not a DSIXL. (just like last year she HAD TO HavE GREEN...so she got the DS cooking bundle LOL) My question is when can I get the holiday colors if I don't mind paying fullprice/not getting a deal? Do you think they will only be offered starting black friday or has anyone spotted them in stores? I don't have a TRU anywhere near me and the Sears I have is 38mi away and a small store that does not normally carry DS'

Ugh. That's a decent bundle. I'm in Disney on BF. I wonder if there will be any left even if they're not offering the extra deal.

I'm pretty sure they did because I bought my dd a shirt a month or so ago - and I know they had swimsuits and flipflops.I don't think they did LOL in the girls stuff, did they? All ours was salvaged after 30%.

I picked up a Liberty of London babydoll tank in the Ladies Clearance section for $2.48 (reg 9.99). It is listed as XL, but just fits me as a medium. Do you think it might be a girls' size? How would I know from the tag?
