  1. I will be doing online only for my "doorbusters" but I live within walking distance (like 3-5 mins) from a Target, a mall and a bunch of little pockets of stores. Maybe just for the hell of it I will venture out that day just to feel the buzz.

  2. Yeah, several of the $6.96 movies were gone and now they are back up.

But that's the thing though, I can't put them in my cart..they just say "not available at this time" how long do you think it will be before they put them back up?

  3. So those 1.96 movies...I just went to check them out and a bunch of them said "sold out online" but then I go to page 2 then back to page one and now it says "not available for purchase at this time" does that mean they have more and will make them available again? I guess Walmart wants us to sit at our computers all night lol

  4. Just ordered red 2ds for 99 just waiting for little tykes kitchen to go up and I'll be set!!!

ETA: Got the little tykes kitchen for 50!!!!

    I'm am DONE!!!

Good luck to everybody out there who will be in the stores!!!

  5. Any word on if the 2ds will be $99 on the website as well as in stores on Thursday? Thank God the little tykes $50 kitchen will be online. Already have the page up and ready to go lol..my question is are the deals going to be 6pm eastern or will it be up @ 6pm my time once the time comes (on the west coast) I don't remember what it was like last year.

  6. My daughter's still play with their Lalaloopsy dolls, the Barbies and Barbie beach house I got for them. Heck they even still play with the dirt devil I bought them almost 2 yrs ago lol. I have no idea what to get them this year..I guess I need to keep my eyes and ears open to what they are going on about these days! My dd6 has an obsession with SS (strawberry shortcake) right now..which might be a bit difficult because I don't really find a lot of SS stuff out in the stores. My dd4 should be pretty easy though as she is obsessed with HK (hello kitty) and she's everywhere lol.

  7. Hit up Walmart last night around 9pm there were only a few of us waiting for the $198 laptop. I was 5th in line. Our side of the store was very chill...while the other side where the midnight items sat was insane! They only had 50 of the laptops and pretty much everybody in line got one except like 2 ppl. They did a "ticket" at midnight with a number on it then at 2am they did bracelets then we could come back @ 5. I decided to stick it out until 5. I had a lot of fun actually. Two fights did break out though but I guess that's to be expected on a day like to today. I got, the laptop, a shredder for 20, bissel stick vacuum, the 10 dollar crockpot, the set of dishes for 12, the 40 pc tubberware set for 9, two blurays, the cheapie pjs and sweats for my girls and I think that's about it! All in all a great Black Friday for me! I had a lot of fun and will probably do it again next year!
  8. well This year at wm I got in line at 9pm for the TV i wanted. second in line. I was allowed to shop while I waited but thats because the boy watching us liked our group waiting. he said we were NOT to leave the line except to go to BR for 10 mins or we loose our ticket.. but we were good to him and he was good to us. 8 hours in line I got everything on my list except the 3 dollar chopper.. I also PMed from 4 different stores with NO problems at all.. spent all my money but had great time

Glad everything went well, I got everything except the chopper too ( I really wanted that thing lol) I got the $198 laptop, had been there since 9pm. This was my first time actually lining up somewhere all night and I have to say it was fun! I might do it again next year!

  9. So you get in line to get an armband and you still stand in the line to get the item, What is the point of the armband if you are still standing there. You are still having to decide what 1 item to get at walmart. I do not think that is great planning on walmart part its allot of precious time to waste for 1 item.

If you can get the armband and then do other things and are guaranteed your item for a certain time after the sale starts that makes allot more sense.

I agree with the bolded. I'm really hoping that's the case, because standing there all night with an armband would be silly and would defeat the purpose.

Well anywho, OP thanks for the info and I'll be checking back tomorrow to see what other info you have for us.

  10. Woo! This ad is great, I'm looking @ you 198 laptop and 10 dollar crock pot! LMAO!!!

Question, this will be my first time trying to get a true doorbuster item from Walmart and I was wondering how do they go about giving those out at 5 am.? Am I gonna have to "camp out" for that laptop?

Btw, this would be for a 24 hr store.

  11. I don't think the microwave is corny lol. I waited outside of Target on BF in 2008 for a $30 micorowve that my mother in law wanted. Everyone ran in there like whoa! Luckily after elbowing my way through the crowd of people I grabbed it and was the first one to hit the registers lol. I only went for that one item and then I hit Jersey Garden Outlets mall.

Haha! Yup that microwave was the first thing on my list! It's crazy too, 2008 was my first time going out on BF and I got everything on my list as if I was a pro. It was great, and now that my shopping buddies won't be out of town this year it's gonna be fun just like it was in 2008. Can't wait!

  12. My outside lights will go up Nov 1st, and the tree probably a week or so after that. Im anxious to get the lights up as Ive been working on my display for a month or so already. This will be my second year setting up and running a computer controlled light display custom synced to music. Its a lot of work but I love watching all my effort blinking away that first night everything goes live !

So far this fall Ive built 6, 3' mini trees with 200 lights each, and a new 8.5' tree with 12 seperate channels of animation. I've doubled the number of animated channels this year from 16 to 32, and cant wait to move to a larger house for the display to grow even more LOL.

Wow, that sounds amazing! I hope you post some pics when it's all done. :)

  13. The tree and decorations don't go up until the Sunday after Thanksgiving, but I start (mostly secretly) listening to Christmas music the day after Halloween ;)

OmG! Yes you just reminded me of that, I can't WAIT until they start playing Christmas music on the radio!
