St Louis BBs DO have doorbusters. Their print ads say so, and the stores had them laid out in the aisles last night.

Just passed local BB (Columbus, OH) and there were 30+ people in line. BB opens tomorrow at 9AM. It's now 9PM! Over 12 hour wait! And it was starting to snow!!!! Please tell me BF is not going to be like that!

I went to the Best Buy at Polaris today. They had a lot of the doorbusters that are listed in the BB ad on the high shelves. Perhaps this is a good sign that doorbusters are back in Central Ohio.

If you want recreational skates (ones with longer wheelbase and a heelstop) try sporting goods stores like Sportsmart, Dicks, Galyans, etc. Avoid places like Walmart and Kmart at all costs. You will end up with skates that hurt or fall apart. If you want hockey skates, again try a sporting goods store. You may actually find some pretty good deals at stores that specialize in hockey equipment. Lastly, online, try these sites. Ohio teachers pay no sales tax on computers and computer periphrials (monitors, printers, HDs, etc). Does not apply to consumables like DVDs, CDs, printer ink, paper. See your school office for the exempt form. Be prepared to show a copy of your teaching certif too.

The items I have received as a teacher that mean the most to me have not been store bought. They are poems and letters written by the children and/or their parents. They are a painting or drawing the kids have done that has been framed. These are the items I cherish more than the mugs, ornaments, and "Teachers have class"-style plaques and polished brass apples. Consider it. They are free gifts to create, but mean the world to us as educators.
