Hey all, I wanted to pick a few of those 120GB Seagate drives from BB. But I remember that recently Seagate's rebates have been crappy. Does anyone know if they have improved? -Por

At this price you would be better off going with the A64 3000+ for about $15-25 more. If you can afford a Socket 939 motherboard. This is not meant to threadcrap, but to offer helpful advice.

Many consider them to superior in many ways. It seems that in general there is a higher stability rate with the Seagates. They have a five-year warranty vs. three (or so) for Maxtor. In addition, the Seagates are supposed to be much quieter then all other manufacturers.
