It's save30 - good through 5/22/13!

I'm loving the midnight opening times. Usually my posse and I would stay up half the night anyway planning our shopping strategy. I do a major portion of my shopping on line, but it's kind of a tradition to go scope out the stores. Plus, there are some things that you can't get online. Also, since most of the stores I frequent are a stones throw away from my house, it's no big deal. Can't wait!

Walmart. Last year they broke the doors at my local store. The year before it was like feeding frenzy in a shark tank! But then again, a few years back there was a fight in the bedding section at my local Kohls. A women punched another woman over a comforter!!! This all took place 10 minutes after the store opened. As I was coming out with my Kitchen Aid mixer, the cops were pulling up. Wow. No way am I fighting over anything. I do most of my shopping online.

I'm going to give it another shot. I had one of the earlier ones (back when they were having all the issues). Hopefully, they've worked all this out. You know how first generation electronics are - problems everywhere. However, The Nook is good too. If the pandigital bombs out again, I'm buying a Nook.

I am so through with Kohls right now. I can't freakin' stand it! It was bad enough that at 1:30 a.m. the site went down just as I was placing my initial order. After over an hour, I gave up, slept for a few hours, got up at 5:15 and placed my order w/o problem. Only the food steamer had sold out. Went out shopping for stuff that I didn't get online (at other stores), came back and tried to place another Kohls order - was just ready to place the order- SITE DOWN AGAIN. I swear if I see those friggin' elves one more time, I will scream. Kohls has really ticked me off. I will think twice before I use them on Black Friday - online again. Apparently, their site cannot handle the massive flow of shoppers online. Get it together KOHLs- this is absolutely ridiculous!

My best black friday was two years ago. It was the first time my husband ever went. We got to Kohl's around 3:30 a.m. He was AMAZED at all the people there. I told him this was nothing - wait till you see Wally World. So I had the Kitchen 250 watt stand mixer in my sites. It was $124!!!!!!!!!! I told him I was going in and for him to wait until everyone was inside first before he even attempted to go in the doors because he would get killed. And for once in his life he actually listened.Now mind you, I've never run for a sale in my life, but as soon as I cleared the threshold, I took off like Sea Biscuit! I got the mixer, ran up to the register, and the cashier said it was the wrong one!!! So as the guy is telling me which one to pick up, I'm backwards sprinting while taking all the information in. I got my mixer and was headed out to the car when in walks my husband. He was shocked that this all took place in a matter of 10 minutes. And the looks that some people gave me were priceless - like how they heck did she get in and out so fast. Then the police pull up - the store has officially been open 10 minutes (this had to be some kind of record 20 minutes is usually the norm) - because one woman punched another woman over a $25 comforter set! Last year thanks to the good people who post on this site, I realized you could actually shop online on Thanksgiving Day- so I did that, but I still was out at 4 a.m. just to see the craziness on Black Friday. You gotta love it.
