  1. well, the thrive DOES have a user replaceable battery (in the current 10 inch version) and you can even get different colored backs, from Toshiba.com. However, I read it is a little on the heavy side, at just over a pound. The transformer has the docking keyboard, which increases the battery life. You can probably do a comparison on best buy by comparing the two items on the website.

The Acer that is on sale for $189 for Black Friday is the 7 inch model reviews give it a poor score when it comes to battery life.

I like the battery feature on the thrive in addition to the ports that it has eg. USB, HDMI.

  2. My understanding of this is: if you buy a product and get RR back for it, then do a 2nd transaction to buy another of the SAME product and use those particular RR on that order, you will not get RR for the 2nd transaction. HTH! :)

Oh I learned that part from experience but I was wondering about two different products. EG. Product A gives RR I then turn around and buy Product B with RR from A. Product B also is supposed to give you RR. Its this type of transaction I'm wondering if I'd get the RR for??? Does that makes sense???? Thanks!

  3. I would strongly suggest AGAINST this since they only have a 2 week date. You'll probably lose them that way unless you plan on buying other stuff there. PLUS there's lots of restrictions on how you use them, not sure how familiar you are with them. Walgreens counts them as manufacturer coupon so if you have 3 items and 2w/coupons then you can only use 1 register reward. Remember you can't use same brand RR to pay for something and expect to get another back.

CVS is much more use friendly

Does this mean you won't get another RR is you use one to buy it?

  4. My apologies I was in a different country that year :P Thanks for the replies.

Update: looking at posts from 2005 it looks like they chose a designated door before BF, so this is something to keep in mind. I couldn't get a working scan to verify if it mentioned purchase like this years does.

I remember this as well. They had ONE door that you had to enter through in order to get the gift cards. I think one year they even did it twice. Once before BF and then again on BF.

  5. At the Targets I've gone to the past few years, they have had very good line control. They've set up barricades and they do only open one entrance for the first 15 minutes. The lines have ended up going around the store but other than the running once the store opens its been very controlled.

Now do I think this will work, guess it's worth a try if they think it might work. By the way this has been my experience in the Mpls./St. Paul area, so right in Target's backyard so to speak!!! LOL

  6. I think it's great. It's a wonderful compromise for the expensive ipad. My 14 year old is very excited to have this on his xmas list. We already have lots of movies for his psp that will work fine . He's really excited about the gaming apps. He asked for a ITOUCH last year and then changed his mind. No one beats amazon is customer service. YOu can sit on your kindle or have problems and if you call amzon they send you a new one next day and give you a month to return teh bad one. I encourage a 3 year square trade warranty with accident coverage though. I paid 20 for mine witha coupon code I found on ehre. YOu have 90n days after purchase to get one. If you ahve a problem after your 1 year amazon wararnty goes out, they just send you a check to buy a new one.

I've never purchased a warranty from square trade do you think that's better than buying the extended warranties from where you purchase a Kindle product?

  7. They do this every year, online. It's always a big giant cluster and you sit there and fall asleep drooling on the keyboard.

Seriously though, does anyone have the silver rewards customer service number?

Can you order via the phone and get the sale prices with the silver rewards?

  8. My trial membership stopped on Jan. 16th and just now I was able to sign up for this 3 month trial offer. I did notice that my start date showed as the start date of my 30 day trial. I guess I found that interesting but it did put my trial ending date out till April 18th like it should have.

This will give me some time to either get some family members to split the cost or maybe connect with some good folks from here!
