  1. I happened to be looking at this weeks HF ad when I opened the BF ad.  What a joke!  That 4000 watt generator is $10 less this week.  The solar panel kit is $10 less.  No free light.  No 20% off coupon.  I guess everyday is BF at HF.

Yea I know how you feel. Last year I saw this https://www.harborfreight.com/step-stool-working-platform-66911.html?_br_psugg_q=ladder

for $19.99 I though it was a good deal until I found out Lowe's had this one for the same price https://www.lowes.com/pd/Werner-1-71-ft-x-1-ft-x-20-56-in-225-lbs-Aluminum-Work-Platform/999946108

Way longer taller.now granted HF is calling it a step stool but come on bang for buck the one in Lowe's is a better deal and you find more projects to use it for.

I guess the margins on the stuff they sell are so tight that they can't discount them too much but come on 1-3 days for black Friday?  1. You make your customers happy and 2. You will bring new customers in that might not have come into your store if it was not for the BF sale.

  2. I'm still trying to find some information on the HP Desktop PC w/ AMD A4 APU, 6GB RAM, 1TB HDD (P6-2376) for $279.99

In staples but no luck yet.

They have it on there webpage now http://www.staples.com/HP-Pavilion-p6-2376-Desktop-PC/product_989659?PID=1418914&storeId=10001&AID=10422268&cm_mmc=CJ-_-1418914-_-1418914-_-10422268&CID=AFF%253A1418914%253A1418914%253A10422268#desc_content

I sent HP an E-mail asking for upgrade info on it and if it has any USB-3 ports.

It still seams like a good deal.

  3. Yea I'm sorry to say like last year your not going to see them till Thanksgiving day.

I'm looking for a cheap desktop and there is pretty much one I'm looking at and it does not seam that great of a deal plus the DVD burner is side ways and I don't like that.

  4. well you don't need a surround sound hooking it up to a stereo or getting a sound bar would be fine.

It all depends if you can live with the built in speakers they just don't have much base or depth to them.

Walmart also sells the Vizio for around the same price I think maybe 10 -20 dollars more.

The Hz levels is how many time per second the picture is redrawn.

60HZ the picture is redrawn 60 times per sec 120 120 times per sec 240 240 times per sec.

The higher the Hz the better the picture will be with fast motion scenes but 120 seams to be fine.

If you go with a plasma tv you don't have to worry about that.

#1 The two things about plasma tv's are that they are made of glass so you might get some glare.

#2 You can not lay the tv's down they must be transported upright.

Panasonic plasma tv's seam to be the best from what I have been told from other people and from what I have read.

  5. I know right now that Costco has a deal on a Vizio 47 inch tv for $749 right now at the store.

    Its the E470vl.

    http://www.vizio.com/e470vl.html#support

I have the 47 inch model and I do like it just some things to to remember with flat screens.

#1 The sound is not good because the can't fit good speakers into the thin tv's.

It's got OK sound but I was very unhappy with it until I hooked up to my 5.1 and ran it in stereo.

With this tv and others you can control the volume for the tv remote.

#2 You need to have digital cable or satellite for any LCD tv's I can't say if it's the same for plasma.

I have this tv hooked up to analog cable and the picture is not good motion blur peoples faces are not clear Black levels are not good.

But get it on just a SD channel that digital and all this goes away and of course HD and great!!

The tv does not have any Internet apps but you can find a good deal BF for a blu-ray player that does.

#3 The screens I see more and more LCD have glass and you will get a lot of glare.

I'm not sure about the ones with the glare coatings on the but I was in best buy the other day and you can see your self like your looking into a Mirror.

This tv has a Mat screen so you will not get any glare.

#4 At Least a 120HZ model my parents have a 60HZ model and I have yet to see any thing weird on it but go with the newer 120HZ models.

Also remember that the contrast ratios are not going to be true they are blowing them way out of proportion.

It's aways a good idea to ask for a remote so you can play with the tv your thinking about buying.

  6. I want to pay 999 or less for a 55 in lcd or led tv with internet apps. Come on black friday! Hopefully amazon does some sweet thing again so I can get no tax!

I know right now that Costco has a deal on a Vizio 55 inch tv for $999 right now at the store.

    Its the E550vl.

i want to buy a 32 inch at a low price but must be a 1080 want it for gaming...i hope i could find one this year now that i know about this site...i feel more prepare...when does amazon start showing their deals?

Start doing you research now if your looking for a tv for gaming!!

Some TVs like the one that I have have alot of input lag and are not good fore gaming.

From what I have read about my TV it seams to be the HDMI ports them selves giving the tv lag hence "input lag".

For a large purchase and the fact that's it's a tv I would rather buy it from a store that way it's an easy return if you have a problem.

    Something to think about.

  7. OK, we've done this one before and it's always been fun: simply reply to this thread with your guess for the date and store for the first ad to be posted on the Black Friday site.

Only post one guess and if you edit your post more than 10 minutes after your initial post, your entry won't count, so make your best guess now!

For help, view this chart for 2006-2009 dates: http://blackfriday.gottadeal.com/images/dates.png

I'll accept entries until Wednesday at 12:00pm ET. At that point I'll randomly select 5 people who posted their prediction and they'll win a Black Friday t-shirt.

If anyone ends up being correct on both the date and store for the first ad, I'll send you a full GD prize pack with another GD shirt, reusable grocery bags and much more GD swag. If more than one person is correct, you all win prize packs. We'll use eastern time zone to determine which day a late-night ad is posted on.

And while I've got your attention, check out our big Holiday Giveaway where you can win great prizes like an iPad, Kindle, Wii, KitchenAid mixer, Amazon.com shopping sprees, gift cards and much more. Over $2,500 in prizes and all you have to do to get an entry is post a deal here on the forum.

    Good luck to everyone!

Did you read the firs post?

    No ad's yet.

  8. I save the BF ad scans.:)

I like the idea of being able to look back to last years deals to compare the prices.

but I don't see a need for you to go through all that work.

Everybody should know by now to save them as soon as then come out because they might be pulled.

It's not like they take up a lout of space on my hard drive.:)

  9. I pick up the Vizio E470VL from Costco for $749 $800 dollars after tax.

Great tv and you get and extra year on the warranty from Costco so it's 2 years instead of 1 year.

I've had it for a little over a week now and it's got a great picture.

The one thing I don't like is the audio stinks but it's no worse than any other LCD tv.:yup:

It seams that all the TV manufacturers don't care about the audio just in making them as thin as possible.

If you don't have a surround sound I would get the Vizio sound bar Costco has that for $89 dollars and it sounds great!!:yup:

    Sale ends 8/18/2010.

I was just in Costco today and it's back on Sale till 9/1/2010.

  10. I'm going to say that there "should be" some good deals on Blu-Ray players this year.

I have seen some good players going for around $100 bucks and I'm sure you have seen the deals on the Blu-Ray movies at BB.

There should be some good hard drive deals this year too.

I don't know if you will find a "good" net book for $100 bucks but I'm sure there will be more deals on them.

  11. I know it's a crazy price! I almost bought it at Walmart for $798. They were out of stock on the TV online and also in my local store. So I went home and checked online and Sams had it online for $748. I almost jumped on it, but my family members that have Sam's cards were out of town. So I decided to wait. I happened to check a week later and saw that the online price was $748 still, but my local club price was showing as $673.11! I couldn't believe it. I called on it and they said they weren't going to carry that TV anymore so they were marking them down and moving them out. The store in my area only had 1 left and I snagged it.

Being in FL I'm not sure they've dropped the price at your local club and/or if they will even do that (I'm sure if they can sell them at $748 they will). Michigan's economy sucks so bad right now most people are probably not buying the big ticket items so maybe that has something to do with reduced price locally?

    I still think it's a good price at $748 though - it's a great TV so far!

    Yea I love mine!!:D:D

  12. That's a crazy price!!:eyepoppin

The Sam's by me is 10 miles away and Costco is right down the street.

I think I'm done with swapping out tv's this is my third.

My first was a Sharp that had no audio volume then sec was an LG that had a bad picture and better sound.

Id love to save some more money but I don't think Costco will price match Sam's + it's on Sam's web page for $748 now.

But I will call up Costco and Sam's tomorrow and see.
