  1. I had furnished my place last year with GB items, so my excuse to buy more today was that the stuff I bought last year was too neutral. I found some good deals, but I was there early. I got a microsuede chair, too many vases, picture frames, art, bowls, and some more stuff that I am too tired to look through. I really don't know what I am going to do with all these vases. I went to 3 locations, and I learned that I really love the unorganized stores. I found several gems by looking in other sections, like the home and bedding.
  2. Today in Las Vegas I got 2 white memory boxes for 4.24 each. They have a pink background, but easily changed with different paper. I made a neat little decor box for the first time last week with different colored murano glass pieces shaped like starfish and leaves, glued them down, and it looks pretty cool. I found the boxes in the stationery section, so be on the lookout everywhere! I also picked up a nice satin throw pillow and 2 red vases in Global Bazaar. Love this thread, as I am a fellow Target addict for sure!!
  3. So I went to Sears F&F tonight for a range, and walked out only with a top. They had numerous sales people in the appliances section milling around, snacking on popcorn and cheetos. I wanted an electric stainless range, and it was confusing to say the least. There were red advertised sale signs posted above each range, and at first I thought, wow, this could be good with 20% off that price. Not the case. That was the weekly sale ad price. The prices were 20% off the regular retail price, and then 10% off that. Plus $60 for delivery, and then you had to buy a cord. Most of the prices were listed for black and white, so when I asked about stainless, the lady (yes, snacking on popcorn and talking at the same time) had to go check prices. For the model I wanted, stainless came up $150 more. So it would have been $719-%10 + $60. Not really the deal I was looking for at all. So I will probably wait and buy the one at Lowes on BF, it is a Fridgidaire and with a mail in rebate will be only $400. And they usually offer free delivery and haul away. But I love the top I bought, it is a deconstructed button up cream top with ruffles and lace, and I only paid $5.81. So it was worth the trip, but it was disappointing as far as the appliances.
  4. In regard to the M&M's, it is the Target I like to shop to get things I like when they are on clearance, like the Global Bazaar items, but it is not my favorite Target. It's not in the best neighborhood. The cashier held up the line for about 10 min, waiting on customer service to become available to do the price check. I am somewhat inclined to agree they wanted the items to themselves. \

Pam, thanks so much for the tip, but I'm sure I will not remember the right wording next time this happens. I mentioned the flip flops were still being sold in the 1 spot that had a 4th of July theme, but that didn't seem to matter because they rang up. I don't know, it's not even like I need the M&M's at all, I would probably store them until next 4th of July, it's just the point there was so many left on the shelf.

  5. I found a lot of bags of 4th of July M&M's yesterday. I scanned them and they rang up as 0.00. I brought 10 to the register, and the cashier called the front desk to do a k86 or something like that. I was then told they are no longer in the system, and could not be sold to me. I mentioned that they are 4th of July candy, so shouldn't they be 90% off the shelf-posted $2.00 price, but the cashier just put the M&M's under her checkout and the manager went to clean off the shelf. Is this normal?
  6. I went to the Target in Henderson, NV, and found a ton of wrapping paper, cards and wreaths left. I bought paper and a card holder. Also, I found that if you go to the Book department and scan the page a day calendars, they are all coming up 90% off! So I got an Ann Geddes, Jon Stewart, Sports Illustrated page a day calendar for approx .79 each, and a few of the smaller regular hanging calendars which rang up free but she charged me .19.

I am so upset, I'm not sure what I should do. I called, and the only thing they said they could do was 1 day expedited shipping. I plan on calling and speaking with someone else. Did anyone else receive this email? -Melissa

  8. I started out at CompUSA around 1 am, just to get a feel for what the day would be like, and to check out Circuit City's lines. I bought 3- 30 CD-R packs, a Wi Fi locator device, a 512 mb stick, and a wireless router. There were about 20 in line at Circuit City, so I went to Walmart to check on lines. It was a Supercenter, so it was open but the store was empty. I was 10th in line for the laptops around 3:30 am, but I decided not to wait, because I had "ordered" the Best Buy laptop online.

So I left, and then went to Office Depot around 5:15. The manager came out and took everyone's shopping orders, and got them ready for everyone. Wow, I was really impressed I bought a Canon A520 and a 1G Sandisk SD card, and I was 1st checking out. Then I went to Ultimate Electronics, was 12th in line, and waited about an hour for the store to open. I bought an Olympus 5G mp3 player for $89. My first BF, and a very good day, but came home to the canceled BB laptop email. So I'm still looking for a good laptop deal. -Melissa

  9. I went there and got a Canon A520 digital camera for $200 minus $75 rebate, and I also got a $20 gift card, so it was basically $105 for the A520

    Hi,

I bought the same camera from OD, how did you get the $20 gift card? I just went back because I thought I didn't get it, but the manager didn't know anything about it. I was 3rd in the line this morning, and the manager came out and asked what I wanted and got it all ready for me. I was out at 6:02 am! OD really has a great staff, the manager is willing to help me with the $20 gc if I knew how to get it. Thanks! -Melissa
