    I just returned from the GAP and had bad luck with this....

     

    It was my fault really, as I did not read the fine print as closely as I should have. I wanted to purchace items using $75.00 in Gift Cards, and they would not let me. I have no idea WHY??? But, yes it is right there in the rules of the Promotion. :no:

     

    The manager said something about employees getting gift cards for a discount and then friends and family "double dipping".

     

    Too bad.... I left the items on the counter and walked out. I will wait for another sale where I can use my gift cards.

    Definately last year.....

     

    I remember buying the Departed, Shrek, The Shawshank Redemption....etc on DVD for those exact same prices.....

     

    Plus the Apple 8GB Ipod is $199 - the new updated version is $149.00 for the 8GB.

    Stop & Shop is running a Black Friday TYPE of ad on 11/21 - the Friday BEFORE Thanksgiving.

    Items include:

    They are doing it BEFORE Thanksgiving to take advantage of the increased traffic - people buying Turkeys! Supermarkets, if you can imagine, are very SLOW the weekend after Thanksgiving.

    I have this exact Tom Tom One .. that DH paid $399.00 for at Best Buy last Christmas.

     

    This little Gizmo is a Lifesaver!! I now travel in and out of Boston and all my highway and city anxiety is gone!!

    $199.99 is a great deal!!

    The screen is touch screen, you just plug in the address, city or destination.

     

    The screen is SIMPLE to read, not complicated or cluttered.

     

    I use mine EVERY DAY - and I have a little case for it, that I bought at Best Buy.

    Do not forget about the Supermarkets, Home Centers, Drug Stores and Smaller stores for Black Friday!

     

    Stop and Shop in RI and Mass has Ice Age at $9.99, Little Mermaid Salon at $39.99 ($20 cheaper than Target!), Portable DVD Player PLUS 5 FREE Movies, Jensen Ipod Dock/Alarm Clock $39, HUGE Hummer Truck $59

     

    At 3pm, they still have product too! No lines, no pushing, no shoving!

     

    CVS has Great Sales too - sure they are not laptops and plasma TV's - but great deals just the same!

     

    It is amazing what you can find out there in the little stores!

    How does that work with the Layaway???

     

    If I gather all the merchandise now... and have them ring it up at regular retail... what happens on BF??

     

    Do they refund me the money and then re-ring it??

     

    I know I am asking basics... but having a full knowledge of what I should expect is really helpful!

    HI Everyone,

     

    I have done very little Black Friday shopping over the past few years... mostly because I have had to be at work by 8am!

     

    This year, I would like to try to get some Best Buy SALE Items at Walmart - because it is 30 minutes closer.

     

    Can someone guide me through the steps? Do you go to the service desk?

    Do you go to the register?

    Do they Price Match Everything?

    Advice on Gamecube

    We made a decision to get Playstation for our then 7 yr old son two years ago, and we are glad we did. He has Grown into this system.. whereas the GameCube seems like it has been discounted lately, and is a second rate system compared to Playstation. The only negative thing is that at 7, my son loved the "Mario" games, which are only available on the GameCube. But we have found others like Kingdom Hearts, Jax, and Tony Hawk to substitute! I just think the Playstation is a better investment!
