  1. My 6YO daughter's backpack is giving up the ghost -- zipper gone, one strap broken, pull handle coming off -- after one year. I don't plan to spend $20-plus every year for her, so I'm figuring on investing in an L.L. Bean backpack -- when it breaks, you can send it back, so I think the extra money is well worth it.

Can anyone advise when the best time to buy one is to take advantage of any price break? The one I'm eyeing is $65, which is only three years of crappy backpacks at her current level of abuse <g>, but still, awfully expensive.

I don't see any codes right now. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether they routinely go on sale at the end of summer or something. If so, I'll wait.

I ordered a backpack from LL Bean in late October last year...free shipping and the bag was on clearance for $9.95. It doesn't look like they have the same pattern anymore, but it's the deluxe book pack for $39 on the site now (several colors & patterns to choose from). The youth books packs look to be around $24 (since your dd is 6). HTH...:)

  2. I visit both, since I have many near me. I like the CVS b/c ecbs print right away and you don't have to fill out forms. I usually take advantage of Walgreens offers when you get $$ off your next shopping trip. I do the Walgreens mail-in rebates, but I hate waiting for them to load my gift card. I hope that the online rebate test goes well and they implement in all states soon...I do think it's worth it to do both. HTH :)
  3. My kids love their tooth tunes. I got the Ashley Tisdale Kiss the girl for free from Hasbro when I ordered Hannah Montana.

They are not suppose to be loud outside of their mouth. If you watch the commercials they show how the sound travels through your mouth to your brain. When they brush properly they can hear the music just fine. I hope that helps.

:yup: I agree...:yup:you're not supposed to hear it like a radio, but only when you're brushing. When the toothbrush is pressed against the teeth, it gets louder. HTH, too.
