Sorry, missed that part. I work at Sears, I know for a fact we carry them. Either you have a dealer store that only carries select items or the associate was too lazy to order one.

Anything above 1 gig is a waste. In fact, benchmarks have shown in certain cases it actually slightly hurts performance at 2gigs.
For basic work, I wouldn't bother going for the dual channel unless it's just as cheap. Get a 4200 stick that brings you up to 1gig and you'll have plenty.
To those of you worried about it's "problems", the main problem with it was the people using it.
It's like a computer, putting a computer on the carpet is a big NO-NO. Put the xbox and the power brick on a stand or something and you will have no problems with it crashing.
The next is the disc scratching. It should be common sense not to move the disc from horizontal to vertical WHILE you are playing a game.
The console is fine, it's just the people using it.
