I got to Wal-mart at 3:30 and got in line for the laptop. There was one line going into electronics for all electronic purchases. They had the entire electronic department roped off and the only way in was through the line. They only had 24 laptops. After they started checking people out, they split the line and brought people from behind us up to check out, so people behind me got a laptop, but I didn't!! It really ticked me off. I called the manager and complained, but of course, he said that there's nothing he can do. I have been shopping black friday for years, and I know that the stores can't do anything about the number of items that they receive, but they can be fair. If they were going to split the line, they should have waited until all the hot items were gone, or gave out tickets to those first in line. I think I will email Walmart and complain too. Hope all of you had better luck.

I prefer the classifieds over the shelter listings because you can talk with the owners and find out more about the pet. A lot of the shelters online want you to fill out extensive questionaires and do everything but promise to give them your first born child before you can adopt a pet.

I bought a Baby Born advent calendar for my friend's 4 year old. On the first day, you open a tiny baby doll, and each day after has some type of accessories. (bed, clothes, bottle, etc.) It is so cute! They moved out of state, so I am mailing it early so that she can enjoy her gift all month long.

I definately vote for going to church. I don't want the kids to think that Santa is more important on Christmas than Jesus! Maybe we'll do Santa before Church, and presents afterward, or presents on Christmas Eve.

I have been buying Hallmark ornaments for my kids (ages 12, 9, 4) since they were born and one for me and my husband every year since we've been married. We should have 42 hallmark ornaments this year plus extras I've bought here and there. My kids love getting them out every year. My 9 year old daughter always complains because my 12 year old son has more than her! I try to buy an ornament based on what they are into that particular year, and it's really neat to see Thomas the tank engine from when my oldest was crazy about him, Barbie ornaments from when my daughter was crazy about her, Richard Petty and Larry Bird for my husband, Maxine for myself. . . . . . . I hope that they treasure them when they are adults as well!

We have a ps2 and my 12 year old and 4 year old son love it! But we are having problems with ours and are waiting on a recalled replacement power cord to be shipped to us. Ours cuts off alot because of it. They were very easy to contact, and customer service was great, but it's been a couple of weeks and my son is driving me crazy because it's not here yet.

I'm always amazed at the number of guys who are shopping on bf! My husband would pay 3 times the price not to have to go. He does all his shopping on Christmas Eve. I'm the only one who doesn't have presents under the tree until then. He doesn't even know what we get everyone for Christmas. But, he always watches the kids for me to shop which makes me very happy. I don't like shopping with him anyway!
