    I have been finding a TON of the batteries.....for those looking for them try to look at the very last packages of batteries on the rack, behind the new packaged duracells.....thats where i found mine. You may have to take a bunch of different packages to scan for the clearance ones, but it is well worth it! I think when the store restocks the batteries they just put the new duracells in front of the older (clearanced) batteries.... My store had two side endcaps with a battery display in the toy dept. and one display near the automotive area......Good Luck!! HTH :D

    Did anyone pre-order the blue one at bestbuy... (I snagged the white one at amazon, thank you), but needed the blue one too...and got an email today saying that it's back ordered, and won't ship for 1-2 weeks...however it's still available for pre-order. So I am on hold with them....I know people are there because someone already answered. But I am nervous because if I don't end up getting this order from them...my son will be all upset when his sister gets hers...

     

    I never pre-order this kind of stuff anyone have any experience with this?

    Try and check Target....They still had some of the bundles yesterday afternoon for 169.99 AND you get a 20.oo gift card with it.......They never sold out of them during the black friday rush...HTH

    I cant imagine that there is no one in my area?? Come on!! Wheres Western Ny at? How about my crazy canadians?? Btw..originally from Canada and I must say there were quite a few fellow canucks out there last year...

    Finally I found another Gottadealer in my area!!!! :cheesy: I cant decide if i wanna go to the Niagara Falls Target or the Amherst one on NF Blvd...Whats your input on the one that will be LESS (lol) crowed and i have a better chane to get what i want?:fluffy:

    Yeah that kinda bites. This is how I would get around it. You will need a friend to pull this off.

     

    Have a friend with a cart with all of your stuff in it. Choose item(s) that would put you over the $100 mark and go check out. Drop that stuff of in your car. Go back to your friend and do the same thing again with a different cashier - rinse and repeat. It would be a pain but it is doable.

     

    The thing that has me confused is the rules state "Limit one Giftcard per qualifiying transaction, per guest". Does that mean that if you bought an item that had it's own giftcard (like the blu-ray player) would you get both the $10 over $100 purchase gift card AND the $30 bonus gift card or could you only claim one or the other?

    To me it sounds like you could break up your purchases to get the numerous giftcards...."per transaction, per guest".....guess I'll find out on BF....but on the safe side I'll bring my daughters with me if I do have to break up the purchases to earn the giftcards....will be a pain with those L O N G BF lines!!:eyepoppin

    I second the recommendation for nerf cases. We had two of the DS lite break in the last 2 weeks. If you get a DS get some protection for it. The screen thing I don't worry so much about.

     

    We will probably get a DSi to replace because with technology we always buy the latest so it will last longer. As for the GBA cartridges, unless you have a bunch lying around, it might not be a factor. We NEVER play GBA games on the DS lite(and we do own a few )because the DS was our first handheld. However, we also have a PS3 and we play almost exclusively PS2 games on the PS3, because the games are more kid friendly.

     

    The DS/ DSi have more games for them then the GBA or all it's predecessors combined ever did. You will not be short of game selection. And there are tons of DS games for young kids.

     

    I'm also kind of hoping we won't see the "right button defect" and the "hinge crack defect" in the DSi that was there in the DS. We had both problems and the only answer is the electronic recycling pile after a year.

     

    I'm struggling with it too, mostly because I don't want to buy either, I want my 9 year old to move on to the iPod touch a be done with it, but I guess he'll have at least another year of the DSi or DS lite or until it breaks again. Was this a problem with the GBA? Did they break like this?

     

    Here's what I would do. If the difference is $70 then maybe the DS is a good choice. But if the difference is $30 or $40, in the end, then I would "pony up" as they say and buy the DSi.

    Does the iPod touch play games? Anyone have input ? Not sure if I should get my ds 10 th4e dsi or ipod touch? TIA

    unless you also bought the clearance one on the same credit card, that is the only one that will show up, not the first purchase. :(i tried it once.

    So the best way is to keep 2 credit cards one for the original priced purchases and one for the clearanced purchases. Makes it easier that way.:D

    or buy the clearance item with cash so the store can only look up on your credit card the one you paid full price for :)
