  1. I'm married without children but live about 700 miles from our relatives. I have a younger sister and brother who are still teens and I actually don't put up a tree anymore for a few reasons. My main is I have cats and they think it's a toy and ruin it everytime. My family has came down to visit and we just put presents in the corner and divide them out. It doesn't seem to make it christmas just by having a tree, it seems to make it by the feelings for us. Hope you figure out what is best for you!
  2. Well at least I'm not the only one freaking out!! LOL I'm pretty new at the BF shopping (still haven't figured out where I've been all these years) and just seeming to get everything in order of what stores I want to go to and what items are the most important to me seems to work best for me. I've realized I'm not ever going to get the amazing deals on big items because I'm not waiting in lines for days but I do wait in line for the Coach outlet. :-)
  3. I found this website in 2007 and started going shopping that year . I can't believe I had gone my entire life without going BF shopping! I'm addicted to shopping and really didn't hear much about it until then. (I must of lived on a different planet) I'm soooooooo addicted to BF I don't know how I went that long without ever going.
  4. My sister and brother are EXTREMELY picky (thanks to me) They will only wear name brand items but they are 16 and 14 now. But my sister had pretty much been like that most of her life. So we shop at Old Navy, Aeropostle, Nike, Adidas, a lot of the outlet stores she will wear. For her 16th birthday I did get her a Coach purse and wallet and lots of stuff from our outlet mall which probably saved me about 1000.00 from going to the actual stores, but I do find that the better quality the longer they last.
  5. My husband goes home to Ohio to visit on Thanksgiving morning so I drop him off at the Airport after we have lunch/brunch at a restaurant, then I head home, research the ads, and make sure his Expedition Eddie Bauer is completely cleared out because there's no way my Mustang Convertable can fit everything I buy. :D
  6. That is the poem I was talking about. (The ones Kandy sent the link for) Sorry, I didn't realize you didn't have enough to PM me, but I didn't want to have to take up so much space typing it. I had received it as a going away present and it was honestly the best present I've ever received as a gift.
  7. If you're in Florida.. Where abouts? Anywhere close to Jacksonville? I have some stuff I could help you with. I know there's Everythings a Dollar around here where nothing is over a dollar and they have A LOT of cute stuff, the Dollar Store, Craig's List, Ebay, Garage Sales, The Newspaper, Flea Markets. Hope this helps!
  8. I know something is changing. I went to Best Buy the other day and bought 2 of the TV show DVD's and had a coupon one of the sales girls gave me and I handed my reward card to the cashier and she was talking to another cashier about "I'm gonna be nervous when this new program starts soon, this is going to be a hard thing to have to handle." So I asked her if she was talking about something with the rewards card and she said yes, but she said it wasn't going away, but they were changing how things were going to be done with it, but she wasn't sure how everything was happening and that they had just started getting info on it. Who knows?? That's all I've heard.
  9. The one I went to was kind of messed up. We were supposed to have to wait until 5 am for everything but around 430 people had cart fulls of stuff and I seen one lady with 3 cart fulls of those little processors and things they had for 3-5.00 (the food processors) The store was a mad house. Nothing was close to being organized other than the TV's were in electronics and there was a line, otherwise, everything else was pretty much scattered around. Movies here and there. Some TV's in the food, etc..
  10. Ours are the same way here. We have, I believe, 6-8 Super Walmarts within about 15-20 miles of each other and they're only closed for Christmas for those few hours. In fact it might even be more than that, those are just the one's I can think of real fast, they keep opening more and more and the funny thing is, not one of them have close to the same prices on things. I know which one to go to for the cheaper cat food, etc... It's crazy. Actually the one's in the "richer" neighborhood's are the cheapest and the one's in the "ghetto" area's are actually more expensive. I don't get the pricing of these places anywhere.
  11. If you have an outlet mall nearby look it up online and sign up for the mailers. I get ours here and got the 50 off 150. I know the coach outlet had a huge sale a while back around us and I ended up getting 2 purses and 2 wallets for about 500 and saved almost 850. That was just some random weekend we went shopping. Be careful buying them online though and stuff you can get A LOT of knock offs that are really real looking for are fake and pay a lot for them.
  12. I have a beautiful poem that I received from a friend when I moved that I think they would like. You could print it and just put it in a cheap frame. It means a lot to me. It's called "When the Lord made Nurses..." It almost brings me to tears everytime I read it. If interested PM me.
