  1. I tried that to but my Sears had to verify CC had it in stock or else they couldn't offer me the deal. Needless to say CC is out of stock so no TV for me

That was probably the most valid argument for them not doing it. In fact that almost happened to me. I was shooting the breeze with the salesguy and somehow it slipped out of my mouth. He said they weren't supposed to, but he was cool about it anyway especially since he looked it up in his system and saw that Sears could order one in.

I would print out the page on Sears.com that talks about their pricematch policy. I don't really see anything about limited stock as a way to void their pricematch policy. In fact when you think about it isn't everything limited stock?

  2. My husband went back and tried to argue it all the way up to the store manager and it was still a no go...they said the price match was below their cost and they would not do it.

Well that is true, I know a guy who wholesales the TV's and he was surprised to hear I would get a deal that good.

  3. I was able to successfully get mine PM'ed at around 12pm local time. Couple of almost no-goes. At first the guy couldn't look up the sears # cause their internet page was not loading...and he could not find it on the list. Called the wife, she looked it up online and found the sears part #. Brought it back to the line...another guy (much more approachable) looked over the CC ad for a few minutes I told him "it says two day sale!" he said OK. Looked it up through ordering system and mine is coming in on Dec 4. Of course if they don't have anymore in their warehouse you may be out of luck by now. But I got mine.

    Awesome deal!!!!! Thanks everyone.

  4. Well I just went into my local store and asked a manager. She said they would price match no problem - especially since circuit city was a two day sale. She even claimed that if it was a am only sale as long as I came into Sears during that time they would price match. Anyway, she said they can just order one if they don't have any in the store. Same deal with their BF deals, so I guess I don't have anything to loose assuming she knew what she was talking about

  6. Whoa, this has really intrigued me! Has there been discussion of this elsewhere? I would gladly pay the extra ~100+ (after PM and 10%) for the 1080p version of the Aquos and there's even a chance it would be less likely to sell out.

I would too, just want to make sure this will actually work. Do we have to do the actual ordering during those two days, or can it be done ahead of time? I assume just an ad from circuit city is good enough to bring in? What if they don't have any in stock? Is the price still valid and they will order one in? I checked my local sears through the online search and none of them have the 1080p model in right now.

  7. Well I came into this discussion late, but when I went into my local Sears today the sales guy said I could put in a pre-ticket order for the $999 Sharp 46" TV They would be filling orders at 12:01am Friday and that I could come in any time after 5 am that day - assumably much later in the day and just pick it up.

I am going to go back tomorrow to confirm, likely with a manager.
