  1. I was CostCo member. Switched to Sams club last year as it was near to my house. But I still visit Cost Co just to check out the prices. The following are my observations.

1> Sams Club is cheaper than Cost Co in most of the products they carry.

2> CostCo gets a brand of electronic products first and Sams Club follows it after a few months/weeks.

3> Cost Co carries a much better selection of garments.

4> Cost Co is more friendly to their members. Return policy is better implemented there.

5> Cost Co timing is worse than Sams Club.

6> Cost Co accepts Amex card where as Sams Club accepts Discover cards.

  2. Micro Center will have a 26" LCD-TV for $399.99 after 2-$200 MIR'S

    32" HD-Ready LCD-TV for $699.99 after 1-$300 and 1-$100 MIR'S

    37" LCD HDTV W/OTA & ATSC HD Tuner for $999.99 after $300 and $200 MIR'S.

Models may vary according to the ad I received. Good only 11-25-05

Has the ad scan been posted on this site? Can you please post the details of these deals?
  3. I was there 10 minutes before they opened this morning and picked up the 32" Westinghouse LCD tv. With my 12% off preferred customer coupon, I ended up getting it for $791.99! That's even better than the 32" Sears will have on BF. I have it hooked up to my Media Center PC now and it looks great! And with my Reward Zone card, I'll be getting a $30 certificate. One less thing to worry about on BF!!

How do you get the preferred customer coupon?
  4. Brad,

Is it possible to update the sticky threads with new ads that have come out? Say for example Sticky TV/HDTV thread or the laptop thread has the list of all TV/HDTV or laptops that are on sale during BF. However quite a few new ads have come out since then. It would be really good see all similar products on sale at one place.

  5. I prefer the syntaxs somewhat over the westinghouses, but it depends on what models you are comparing....but you can even get good deals on the most recent syntax models with hdmi and advanced features.

They have 2, 32 inch models (LT32HVE and LT32HVM). I looked at the specifications. I feel the HVE model is better than the HVM model. The one that is available at Target is HVM. I don't know the model that is available at Compusa though. I will probably wait as per your advice for 300 mail-inrebate to be applied to other shops as well. What's your take on this
  6. Not really, you can get a syntax olevia 32 inch that has had superior reviews at target online for that same price after rebates, possibly less if you use a target card. Be weary of budget lcds, most are not very good, there are a few less expensive brands that are- westinghouse, syntax olevia are two.

Thanks TVBob. Out of Westinghouse and Syntax Olevia, which is better? My defination of better would be durability and quality of picture. I won't be using too many inputs as I would primarily using it for viewing TV and DVD/VCR only.
