  1. SO true beccy! I always tell my DH that it must be the turkey
  2. After doing some reviews, I think I may be leaning towards the TomTom One 125 on sale for $99.99 at Sears and Kmart. The one for $119.99 at Target didn't seem to get very good reviews online.
  3. Ewww, I'll switch with you debbiedana. Here's the forecast for my area: Friday, Nov 28 High: 43 °F RealFeel®: 33 °F Rainy I LOATHE rain
  4. Hey, I'm in NH too. Howdy neighbor! Where will you be shopping this year? I always buy the Wednesday paper (for Kmart's Thanksgiving ad!), and the Thanksgiving paper
  5. Ditto!
  6. I'm still excited to go moreso because it's an annual tradition with my SIL, not because there are any eye popping deals. I do have some things on my list, but nothing that I would stand all night to get. Although I just read an article on MSN that Target is slashing prices to compete more evenly with Walmart, so there might be hope for us yet on some special secret deals!
  7. At this point Target...although we'll see if that changes once Walmart and TRU ads come out
  8. I would DEFINITELY recommend a charging dock. The Wii is great, but it eats through batteries something fierce, especially if you play it alot. I got the one that has a stand for the Wii itself, plus 2 spots for the Wiimotes to charge, and a compartment to charge rechargeable batteries.
  9. Ok, so I guess I'm in the market for a GPS for my IL's. I know Text-to-Speech is preferable, but now my DH is saying it's more important to have downloadable maps. Anyone know if any of the ones for sale on Black Friday have downloadable maps? Thanks!
  10. I guess I'm out of the TV hunt for Black Friday. I bought this tv last night from newegg.com: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889237013 I just don't think we're going to see a cheaper price for a 37" LCD HDTV, plus it came with free shippping. And at least I won't lose an arm trying to fight a thousand other people if Walmart *does* come out with an amazing doorbuster tv.
  11. Not much (for me, anyway) in the way of electronics, but the toys look great, and the Guitar Hero World Tour guitar bundle for the Wii.
  12. So far, I'm not impressed either. I'm still holding out hope for Walmart, Target, and TRU though.
  13. I got one in yesterday's mail, which is odd because I don't have a Target cc, and I don't have kids.
  14. I bought myself the DVD camcorder that was on sale at Walmart last year (I think for $200) that I just HAD to have. I've used it once.
  15. Joining this thread. We have a 52" projection HDTV downstairs in the family room, but I'm getting tired of looking at the 10 year old 27" tv we have upstairs in the living room and not seeing the edges of the tv because it's not widescreen. :) I'm looking for a 32-42" HDTV, although not sure if LCD or plasma is the way to go. The living room has a huge bay window (that let's in alot of light, especially in the afternoon), and the couches are about 5-10 feet away from the tv. Any suggestions?
  16. Travel mug with hot cocoa heat packets for my shoes and gloves comfy shoes purse that can go around my shoulder ads for the stores notebook with must-have items for that store I can't wait!!!
  17. SIL comes over Tgiving night and we compare notes and go through our ads. We have a notebook with one page dedicated to each store and list what we're getting at each store. Then we compare lists and prioritize the stores from there. We stay up all night then go to our first store around 2AM (or whenever we can't wait anymore because we're so excited!).When we're done shopping (usually around 11AM), we go to a Chinese buffet for lunch, then go home, crash for a few hours, get up and start putting Christmas decorations up! We both LIVE for this day, since usually her kids dominate anything we ever do together.
  18. Ugh, my SIL bought this for my niece last year...and by the end of the day on BF driving around hearing the stupid thing talk I wanted to smash it into a thousand pieces. Luckily her girls are really rough on their toys, so it didn't last long
  19. The home theater surround sound system was a decent price, although I'd have to have my DH make sure it's "good enough" for him.
  20. Okay everyone, what are your "must-have" items for waiting in line? Mine are the flyer for the store I'm waiting at, hot packs for my gloves and shoes, a cup of strong coffee or hot cocoa, and a camping chair to rest before the craziness begins :)
  21. Oh, I have a list a mile long, but here are my top pet peeves: -Line jumpers/cutters, especially if I've been standing in line in the freezing cold for 3 hours -Slow walkers. Seriously people, 5AM at Walmart on BF is NOT the time to dillydally -People who stand in the middle of the aisles chatting when people are trying to get by. -Rude people -Disorganized stores. WHY would I ever suspect DVD's are in the women's underwear section? That is all, for now. However, every BF I add a few more pet peeves to the list
  22. I usually get a couple of things for myself, but my main goal is to finish my Christmas shopping for DH, parents, nieces/nephew, and little cousins. I usually get about 90% done on BF, so I don't feel bad if I get myself some gifts :) Especially if it's something I really want for Christmas and there's a great deal on BF...DH works in retail so he never gets to enjoy the BF sales.
  23. I've seen people out waiting in line at 3am with babies...I'm talking newborns to 3 year olds. Personally, I think it's selfish to put your kid through that just to get some deals. Besides the fact that it gets crazy at stores, alot of parents are concentrating so hard on getting what they want they're not paying attention to their kids. That said, I have seen older kids (10 and up) that are a huge help to their parents. Ultimately, you know what your kid can handle.
  24. I went tonight and got Guitar Hero III (the last one!), Mario Galaxy, and Word Coach. I'm hoping to exchange Word Coach when they get more games in. I have a question though- what is this coupon everyone is talking about for spending over $75? I looked on the TRU site and couldn't find anything.
