I would go for it if you're feeling up to it and have a buddy along. I was 6 months when I took a friend along for her first BF adventure, and we made it through hordes for $20 dvd players (back when that was the deal of the year, lol!). I was lucky enough to have courteous people notice my belly and give me room. Take a buddy, a bottled water, and have a game plan of the stores you want and what from each so you can get in and out as simply as you can. Good luck! :)

This will be year 10 for me! I got into it once I had a little guy to play Santa for. Makes all the difference, and standing in line well worth it to see their smiles Christmas morning!

If you are only there to pay for the item your daughter has stood in line for then it shouldnt be a problem. If, however, she got the laptop, but then you decided to grab a doorbuster tv when you got there as well, there may be some others behind you in line with a problem. Over the course of her waiting in line with these people, though, there will be plenty of opportunity for small talk and mentioning to those around her that you will be coming only to pay for her item and that's it. I'm sure if she does that, I'm sure everyone around her will be understanding. Best of luck! :)

My company is open BF (and Christmas Eve) so I use vacation days for both. Luckily, being the only woman in an IT dept full of men, it's common knowledge that I WILL NOT be in so don't even ask! Last year I swung by the office after shopping all my big stores first and dropped off a Christmas tree I picked up really cheap. They put up with me as I put up with them every other day of the year! :)
