I am more of a Black Friday "fan". I drive by all of the Best Buys and the Walmarts, etc early in the morning and watch for the fights and the cops and all the other fun things that invariably happen.
I do not do most of my shopping at the end of the year. I watch sites like this all year round and buy things and store them in my basement. I think this year I'll take my camera and my Kodak Hi-Def video thingie that I bought earlier this year and try to find some good fights this year. if I can get some I'll be sure to post links to them here.

No EEEE widths That's the best thing about NB!

Mens Wearhouse often has good prices. The problem is that you just missed all of the good sales on men's clothing. They generally take place in early January.

You could sign up for www.yourmusic.com -- I've been with them for over two years. All CDs are $6.99 shipped.
It's run by BMG Music. You put CDs you'd like to get in your queue and they send you one every month. You can order more if you'd like at $6.99 each, shipped.
As new lead developer on the yourmusic project I would like to say Thank You!
...and technically it is not run by BMG Music, but it is a sister company.

Go onto crucial.com and figure out exactly how much to upgrade (you might have both slots full, so you might have to buy 2GB to get to 2 GB).
Call your credit card company, explain that you ordered it with 2GB and got 1GB. Tell them the company will not honor the difference. Explain to them that you went to the industry standard web site for memory and to upgrade to what it should have been will cost you X dollars and you would like to dispute that much of the charge.
If you have AmEx they will do it over the phone just like that. With other cards it will probably take longer and might involve paperwork. (note: always make big purchases with an AmEx card!)
Good Luck!

Depending on what you are looking for, www.yourmusic.com and www.bmgmusic.com offer subscriptions. yourmusic does not tie you into anything. All CDs are $6.99 but the selection is somewhat limited. If you have an Entertainment book there is a code that will get you a free CD just for signing up.
Disclosure... I work there! But I also belong to yourmusic. There are some CD/DVD combos for $6.99 that I just could not get anywhere else for nearly that price (older Genesis).

I have used many and only been happy with Panasonic DVD recorders. Note that Samsung is a rebranded Panasonic, so those too.
Good luck!

That's not a gift card - that's a coupon. A gift card would not have a restriction on its use. What you are receiving is a $50 of $200 coupon.

Coffee makers are made for just about anything you would want. From 1-cup to hundreds. I personally like the Hamilton Beach Brewstations. They have a holding area instead of a pot, which does not allow the water in the coffee to evaporate if you want a cup an hour later. They are inexpensive and everyone I have every shown mine to has bought one and loved it.
There is one without a timer for $10 less.
The other thing every coffee lover needs is a burr grinder. NOT a rotary one, but a BURR grinder.
Other tricks... Buy freshly roasted whole bean coffee. Keep it in the pantry - never refrigerate coffee! If you cannot find freshly roasted, many supermarkets carry eight-o'clock coffee. Relatively inexpensive and quite good.
Remember, grind your own and keep at room temp.
For 2 cups... maybe a french press, or else something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-DCM18S-Personal-Coffeemaker/dp/B00005MF9C/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1201616839&sr=8-2
French press link: http://www.amazon.com/French-Press-Coffee-Maker-Cup/dp/B0000DCYSJ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1201616839&sr=8-4
Hope it helps,

Everyone does need to realize that if they buy it,. it will likely be no more than an upconverting DVD player within a year, with the exception of any HD-DVDs released up to that point. Blu-Ray now has 70% of the market.

All of the HDMI and DVI cables in my house come from monoprice.com. Get the ferrite core ones - which I believe are the cheapest ones they have and you can get several 2 meter cables delivered for under $20.

I usually book it all myself thru disney's website. I must admit I have not done Disneyland, just Disneyworld, but I enjoy planning everything myself.
Try www.mousesavers.com She will give you specific info about what is going on and if you want to book yourself you will know what is available and any discount codes happening
Also if you want a reputable travel agency she uses small world
Also www.disboards.com has tons of info and they also have a travel agency linked to that website.
HTH
I second the mousesavers! She saved me a bunch of cash the last time I went to Orlando. I am going again this summer and was about to start following her again.

Also, a few pieces of clove in there will go well.

Most kids of that age like video games. A Nintendo DS or a PSP perhaps, or a Wii if you want to get the whole family involved.

I have many friends who do photography for a living or make a good muck on the side. They tell me to stick with Canon or Nikon, even for the non-pro equipment. YMMV...

If you really must buy mp3 players for teens (or soon to be teens) there are 2 choices. The best one is the ipod obviously. That is what everyone has and it is cool, especially the new ipod touch. Short of that the other choice is the Zune. Just be sure not to get the brown one. They are not as beloved as the ipod, but the bigger screen (bigger than the non-touch ipods) and the wifi music sharing make up for it somewhat. You can find the Zunes pretty cheap if you look around - unfortunately you missed the woot.com sale. I got these for my kids (15 and 11) and they love them.
Good Luck!

Where at? I am waiting to see a deal on one of the 1080p ones.
Just out of curiosity, what content will you be watching that will make a difference in 1080p? I know that movies look no different.

This is amazing if you are a scifi fan and have not been collecting yet. You can get all of Stargate SG1 and all of The X-Files for $231. They woudl cost you that much each + shipping from amazon.
-
I just bought Stargate SG1 seasons 8-10, SG Atlantis seasons 2-3 and the complete Firefly series (yes I am a geek) for under $105 delivered. $50 each normally, discounted to $34.95 each, then coupon code "BOGOFOXMGM" and three of the 6 were free.
I work for a large DVD distributor, and that is $45 cheaper than if I had bought them in our discounted company store!
Link is http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewcategory.htm?categoryId=479897
Coupon for checkout is BOGOFOXMGM
Enjoy!

oh, and before I forget, for green coffee, you usually cannot beat http://www.sweetmarias.com

I ordered one grinder, then the other grinder. The order lists both for free+$7.95 shipping. Let's hope they ship both. I need a spice grinder (blade) and it never hurts to have a spare burr grinder if you are as much of a coffee addict as I am.

Don't ever use a blade grinder! They destroy coffee beans. They are good for spices (cardamom, etc) but for coffee always use a Burr grinder.

Almost always is. The problem is that sometimes, 10 mins later is a much better camera deal. But only sometimes.

Important note for those not familiar with Apple products.
This product (and all Macs with PowerPC CPUs) are no longer supported by the current and future Apple operating systems. You WILL NOT be able to upgrade this to OS/X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). It only supports Intel CPUs.
Expect that the latest generation of software will start phasing out support for this laptop as well.
