  1. I received my navigon 2100 from stables today. Finally!!!

But i was very unhappy because it did not come with a usb charger, only the car charger. how will i get map updates? and if i want to program it at home do i have to sit in the car for few hours every time to charge it.....

for $99 its a good deal,.....but how do i get updates?

Those who got navigon 2100 can you please share your comments on this.

I have Navigon 5100 but imagine the power cord end is the same......

I can you use any standard USB cord with the trapazoid shape end....from a digital camera, or PSP ....

    or buy one for $5

  2.

Please keep in mind that the Garmin C330 does not have the best 'Sirf Chip' inside and may result in slower than expected GPS functioning.

  3. I bought the Navigon 5100 @ Staples for $249.99...it was listed at 499.99.

I printed off the Best Buy Navigon 5100 price and Staples had to price match it.

The Navigon 5100 also has a $50 rebate.

Hehe I opened it and used it.

It was quick to lock on to a satellite, the 3D view is nice, the Reality View/Lane assistant was very nice. Having it say the street names was nice (it says 'please'). It gave the side of the street the destination is on. I have not used the Traffic Serfice or the Zagat Survey yet.

The BIG problem with the NAVIGON is the speaker.....it is not loud at all and the sound is muffled.

Hopefully I can get used to it

  5. Ooh, I like the price on that radar detector.

Please do not buy this or any other COBRA radar detector - they are not worth it. They do not work very good and they leak radar signals which set other radar detectors off.

    please go to

radardetector.net to read about radar detectors before buying them.

  6. OK, I don't know anything about these gadgets, but based on recommendations I think I will get my husband the Tom Tom One - 3rd edition.

The thing is, he travels every week, every week he is somewhere new so this "gadget" will never be in the same car - is that a problem? Should I get him a hand held one instead?

Please help, the Microsoft Streets & Trips he uses does is not working out well with him.

    Thanks a million.

I took my GPS which is bigger than the tomtom to Orlando for the family trip.

Power cord to a cigarette lighter......windshield mount.....and the unit

    Not much to carry.

May be tough if he just brings one carryone and it is overfilled...

But these are easily removed and put in from car to car.

I completely remove my GPS from my car...so no one breaks into my car.
