Anyone hear of a deal for a Canon 40D yet? With the 50D being introduced to the market this year, I've been so hopeful that there would be great BF sales on the 40D

My hubby used to HATE my BF shopping when the kids were younger. He had to stay home with them on the day he offically declared as Christmas decorating day. Every year I would come back from my exhilirating BF shopping (usually by noon) just to hear how badly the Christmas lights were tangled that year, or how many times he bumped his head going into our crawl space to get out all the decorations. A couple of years ago we needed a new TV and he agreed to help me (our oldest dd could watch the other kids by that time). He went to CC at 4AM while I headed out to other stores. Well, the BF Bug bit him...and bit him hard!! All morning I got calls from him about all the deals he found, and all the "crazy" shoppers. He was SO proud of the deal he got on our 52" TV and a camera for our oldest dd. Now our Thanksgiving day is all about skimming thru the paper ads, writing out our lists, and checking the stores' websites (and GottaDeal, of course!) for any last minute additions to the deals. He makes sure we hold off purchases throughout the year to see if the item will be a BF special somewhere (this year he's hopeful to get a steal on the Canon 40d camera!) Our kids are at ages now that he enjoys shopping for the gifts so much more (video games, electronics, etc) Thank you, GottaDeal, for helping to convert my hubby! :)

The discounts are a JOKE (10-30%, but almost everything is only 10% off). My dd & I went to our Crystal Lake store last night...hardly anyone in there, and most were leaving without any purchase. WARNING...all sales are FINAL! My hubby's B-day is this weekend, and our kids really wanted to buy him "Dead Space" for PS3. We got one for $47.99 (down from $59.99), but they cut the package wrap at the exit and mark (with a Sharpie) a line thru the barcode. I asked about returns to a CC store that is NOT closing, but was told NO RETURNS! When I asked about what to do if the video game is defective, they told me that I'll have to contact the manufacturer

News stations this morning are reporting that Large Screen TV's are not selling (big surprise with the world economic crisis)...so expect price drops as large as 50% starting on Black Friday!!!
