I picked up an Acer laptop over the summer and I haven't had any problems with it at all. Good components, and seems to be built pretty solidly.

Pretty sure that in a package deal you can't return one piece of the package for retail price to make a better deal on the rest. I'd say you're probably SOL..

Great job Brad.
I discovered this site just doing a random google search for 'black friday san antonio', and you guys do a great job of organizing the information that I'm looking for.
I'll stick around all year keeping an eye on the other great deals you guys post on the main site.

If my TV is samsung 1080p digital cable box is HD capable but used DVI. Will the HDMI/DVI convertor plug lessen the picture compared to just using a HDMI box. or just the same?
Should be the same. HDMI/DVI are both digital.

Well to me that is Best Buy's fault and I am surprised they did not have alot of issues for false advertising.
If an item says 'not available online', and the system gets backdoored to make it available online, I wouldn't say that's bb's problem.

Picked up most of the things we really wanted on bestbuy.com when they started their online sale:
- HP 42" HDTV
- Sony Receiver
- $25 printer
Went to circuit city when they were opening this morning, line had about 750-1000 people in it, but there were police on hand and everything went pretty orderly. Picked up the Polk 5.1 speaker set, and checked it out at the Audio dept. checkout with one person in front of me, we were home at about 6am.
As soon as my wife gets up, i'm dragging her back out again though

Hey guys,
I was looking at a 42" HP that I saw in the best buy ad for 1000 or so, and hadn't seen it mentioned here. Any thoughts on that one?

That's true, though I ran into a problem with this this week actually. I have an older cable box with only the DVI out, and I picked up a tv on BF with HDMI in. What I *tried to do was simply pick up a DVI-HDMI converter, thinking there would be no issue (which there shouldn't be). However, my cable box spits out a message that my television doesn't support HDCP and refuses to output video through that converter, so I have my cable company delivering me a new box tomorrow.
In theory though, there should be no problem at all, and if you have a box that's less picky than mine, there might not be.
