  1. I am about to order the psp/little big planet bundle from them. It is $129 there, same bf price as everywhere else. I have never ordered through them before so I just want to be sure that they are normally pretty hassle free? Thanks for any info!

I have used newegg for a few years and have never had an issue with them. I have never returned anything, so i cannot comment on their customer service.

I have always noticed quick processing and shipment whenever i order.

  2. I got a big screen hdtv at Amazon.com w/ the white glove service and it was great. We lived in an apartment at the time and they took up to the 2nd floor, unpacked it, put it on my TV stand. They verified that it worked before leaving.

Make sure it says white glove service when you order. Also, someone from the company that Amazon.com outsources delivery to will call you and set-up a delivery time.

  3. See, this is the kind of stuff that aggravates me. Sure, people have the right to camp out for days ahead of time, but this makes it so much harder for the "normal" people to be able to get what they need. When I say normal people, I am referring to those that have families, jobs, responsibilities, etc. that just cannot stand outside of a store for days in advance to get that wish list item for their child or the only way they can afford a computer is to get one of the cheap ones. The people who have no lives camp out for days and days to either get items just to sell or do it just for the publicity. Ridiculous!

I SO wish stores would wise up and institute a minimum amount of time that people can camp out and imho, it shouldnt be any earlier than about midnight on Thanskgiving!

They should institute a lottery. That would quickly end Hooverville outside these stores.

  4. I just laugh when i hear aboutpeople who wait outside for any longer than 4 or so hours. WOuldn't sleeping in a warm bed or spending time with loved ones be better than being outside for days on end?

I recall last Thanksgiving i was driving through NW Indiana to get to my wife's family for turkey and the Lake Effect Snow machine was turned on high. On one section of the interstate, you can see a Best Buy. Well, during the snow storm, i see a MASS of people outside being smothered in snow.

No cheap laptop or TV is worth that if you ask me. But if must be worth it for A LOT of others.

  5. What do people who sell tickets charge for it?

There are two schools of thought for me: One, if you buy a ticket off of someone for X.XX amount of dollars. How much of a real "doorbuster" is it when you factor in tax and ticket charge. Two, for the person selling the ticket, how much do you make, and does it equal out waiting outside for countless hours?

  6. I went to Walgreens last night to ask about their price adjusting policy. I asked the manager. I wanted to purchase the fake Wii for $39.99 on sale this week and "exchange" it on black friday for the new price. I was told that Walgreen's had to physically take the product back in an exchange and send it to their warehouse--even if unopened. Anyway...I guess I'll just have to get it on BF.

They don't have to send it back to the warehouse. All you would have to bring in to make things go quicker would 1) your receipt 2) the box it came in, or just the UPC so they can scan it.

They could scan the UPC and the receipt at the price you paid, and then sell it back to you at the BF price.

Doing this will not affect current inventory since you are just "buying" it back.

Were you talking to an Asst. or Store Manager?

  7. Don't bother with the Wireless Sports video game. it is a waste of money.

Also, its doubtful they will put Webkinz on any big sale. They will hold on to those things like gold and won't mark them down too much cutting into their GP. I know from experience.

  8. I didn't get a chance to track down a Sears ad. I'm curious if this is a regional ad error or a chain-wide error that means a HUGE headache for them...good for us i hope.
  9. I'm eyeing the 46' Sharp Aquas at Sears for $999. My wife saw the TV and thought it was a great picture. Now i have to see what Best Buy and Circuit City in their ads. That being said, the lines at BB and CC are super long and the lines always form at Midnight. I'm tempted to get up @ 4am for Sears.

The people camping out overnight, are they usually there for big ticket items?
