  1. "We'll probably start there, but we just need to run to customer service to have some price adjustments done. I need to call and be sure they will be there to do that at 4."

Sorry, Kohl's doesn't do price adjustments for early birds. And you'd better get there early if you want jewelry. We're doing the "take a number" thing this year, and quantities are limited.

(just a bit of friendly advice from a Kohl's employee)

I woudl like to make a suggestion to those at the Jewelry counter.Take your number and then go stand directly in front of the #1 item you want!

Last year I watched a woman wait and wait and wait and then point to a spinning display across the counter and say what she wanted and it was gone.

If you wait in front, you prevent other people from seeing it, and you also know right away if someone else gets it first! I'll be at my local Kohls counter!

  2. If you are in a rather populated area, and not already in line, I would rule out the TTO LE at best buy. That is my only addition of opinion on this to you.

So I guess this is a sign of me not getting this item. I went to buy it online and it's not available (it says coming soon). And I am not getting in line this early.:yuck:

But considering we're in the middle of a huge winter storm here (freezing rain, snow, etc) I can't see many others being in line already. And if they are, well then they can have it cause they deserve it! :eyepoppin

I'll keep watching online though. Does 'coming soon' mean that they are out at the moment, or that they haven't had any yet?

  3. I've seen some, and I've noticed that this year they don't seem to be telling you what is on sale, just when the store is opening and that they have crazy door crasher specials. (ie Kohls and Target). Where last year I remember seeing things on TV and adding them to my list. (ie. my $50 leather jacket at JCP). Evil trickery this year.;)
  4. I wasn't until I started reading about people lining up Thanksgiving morning for BB, which is where I need to be to get my item. And from the sounds of it, I won't be getting it. I am not that desperate to stand in line for 24 hours. Plus it's cold where I live.

I live in Canada though, so I don't get the Black Friday ads, and I have to rely on the net.

I was excited, but now the whole prospect of going to Best Buy is freaking me out! I'll get there for 5am and cross my fingers.

  5. just an fyi!!! a friend of mine works as a guard at the border and they are pulling EVERYONE in to pay duty/taxes now! i have been going over sometimes weekly for ages now and the ONE and only time i ever got pulled in to pay was black friday last year...but with all the canadians heading south to shop, they are really cracking down!

so just make sure not to spend all your money and save some to pay the taxman!

    They take debit!!!:D

  6. Ok Question. The major item I want is at BB. now, this is only my second Black Friday and last year I had planned to be there for door crashers, but I was sick and slept a bit longer. But this year, I'm going to have to be there early to get what I want.

So how early should I be? Please don't tell me to bring a sleeping bag and shack up in my car!

  7. I live right on the border and I will be there with bells on. Especially with the $$ the way it is, I am so excited to get some crazy deals. I have my lists all set (and continually adding to them).

especially on books and electronics where the prices are so OBVIOUSLY different. Plus on shoes. Actually on everything. I can't wait, my countdown is on!

  8. Well I saw this happen last year. I was at Kohls at the Jewelry counter waiting for my number to be called. I stood directly in front of the display where the product was that I wanted so that no one else would buy it first. Good thing I did, the girl who was a few numbers before me was finally called (we had waited about an hour) and she told the employee which display case it was in. Well someone else had already bought her item. She was so mad. Not really stealing, but kinda the same thing. especially after waiting an hour.

I know I paniced every time she opened up the display case where my purchase was. I got both of mine, so I was happy.

after reading all of these, have you noticed that it's a lot of elderly people doing the theiving?!
