    Wow these are some pretty tame experiences.

    Arrived at Best buy at 10am thanksgiving day and was 15th in line. It was freezing also. It looked like tent city where we were. Everyone had a tent. Saw many of the same people from last year and the first guy arrived at 9am. We had several problems with line jumpers. The police were called out 3 times and the 3rd time they just stayed until the store opened. The management was great about the line jumpers making sure they did not get tickets or inside the store. There were several people who madde a tremendous difference to the outcomes of ticket availability. The guy at the front of the line (whom several people were initially concerned with) stepped up huge and took control of the line to help the staff. Things moved pretty smooth after that. The did not however have tickets for the TomTom LE. But we were informed that they had over 130 of them. Here is the list of things we picked up.

    $229 laptop

    $55 2GB Ram memory for said laptop. (installed today and works great)

    2 tomtom le's

    $399 compaq computer

    internal dvd writer

    2-2mb memory cards

    micro memory kit

    2 wine fridges

    We were out of the store by 6:30 and headed to walmart. Walmat was EMPTY! (as in no people). They had everything we needed. Actually they had tond of the tv's, computers. It looked like no one went there. This is a huge contrast to past years.

    8" portable dvd player

    sewing machine

    8" digital frame

    sit n spin

    tonka truck

    chicken dance elmo

    mega blocks

     

    Then off to home depot. to pick up

    Pressure washer

    flashlights

     

    Then home to sleep by 7:30am!

    The Cannon SD750, for $259 ,is what they sell it for right now. I wonder if this is a list of items that "will" go on sale.

    I just went and bought the SD750 there yesterday for $249 and a $50 mail in rebate bringing it to $199 and got a free printer.

    last year was our first year camping out at best buy. I have to say that we did NOT have any problems with them. We were 3rd in line and got everything we came for. The employees came out around 4am and started at the front of the line giving out the tickets. They even had more of the items than advertised. The only thing I like about the ticket ticket system is that if you are there camping for items you should be able to get them and the ticket system worked great in our area. Not the free for all that walmart will have or some other store like frys where I actually feared for my life one year to get a didgital camera. Crazy!

    All of you are such super shoppers. I shop around and read the ads and I never knew Target was selling a mixer for $59!!! It sounds too good to be true. Kohl's has the Sunbeam mixmaster thru tomorrow for 99.99. That's the best price I've seen on any of today's mixers.

    Walmart has the Sunbeam mixmaster in various colors for $98 everyday.

    as far as i'm concerned they apply to only this year. although i was talking to the owner of another BF site and they said one of these stores wanted them to sign a contract saying they would never post the ads, this year or in the future (which is a big joke).
