  1. i just went on the lalaoopsy website and i am not at all impressed. Do the dolls do anything at all? I thought they were going to be like webkins with a code but from what I can tell they do nothing. Each doll only has one game. The website is a pain to use too. It loads very slow. I have been searching stores all over my area to find them, even though my dd has not asked for them yet. I have even been buying extras in case her friends want them too and their mothers cannot find them. Well, I think that I will be taking all 16 of them back. I guess that is what I get for trying to be prepared. Theese things are stupid!!!
  2. Last year I got my TV in the baby section about 45 mins after the store opened. I was looking for a spot to organize my purchases befor heading to the line so I did not buy doubles when I stumbled upon a whole stack of them. I think that someone might have just left them there when they could not get through the crowds though.
  3. And to think I told my kids they could not have friends sleep over tonight because I was going to be waiting at walmart early tomorrow morning. I am glad I did not get up at four just to find this out tomorrow! I think that I will get my weekly supplies at Target this week just to spite them. I doubt they will care though.
  4. When I look at the link for toys I do not see the zhu zhus listed?? Am I missing something? Are these going to be included in the 8 am sale tomorrow?

I just noticed the same thing so I called my Walmart and the toy department manager said that was last week and they only got six. I could have sworn they had it listed for tomorrows add Am I crazy or are they just trying to make up for a mistake. Maybe it is there way of polling how many people actually plan ahead for their adds. I know I saw it listed to tomorrow

  5. I bought the westinghouse Target had on sale last year for 299. It was 26 inches. The picture was good but after a few weeks it developed red vertical lines whenever we were watching a dvd or playing video games. I took it back to Target but I had to fight to get them to take it back!! At first they told me I could only exchange it for the exact same model but they had no other ones. Finally I found a manager that let me pay a price difference for a different TV. If you buy it I would be sure and get the service plan!! I forgot all about it on Black friday last year because I was so anxious to move on to my next store. I really don't think you can beat the $250 price.
  6. i panic because i just *know* the high traffic is because either the WM ad is up OR there is a deal and I cant get on to see it!!!! LOL

Perhaps this black friday I vow to not panic when GD blips should have been mentioned more in the I vow thread LOL

yrt another vow I cannot keep. It's a good thing I am better at keeping my wedding vows than I am at the Black friday ones.

  7. A very good friend of ours owns a small tire store and Black Friday is a very big day for him. I don't know if this is because of the prices or because people want to stay away from big crowds. It may just be that husbands drop their wives off at the mall and then head over to him for some tires and rims.
  8. I get up early and get about 10 papers. I give one to each child and let them start going through the adds to finalize their christmas list. DH and I do the same. I then cut out the pictures of the items we are buying and glue them to pieces of paper for each store. I make 4 copies of these so that each shopping partner has a copy and a visual of just what to grab. I also leave a back up in the car in case one gets lost or damaged. My friend does the same so I have copies of hers too. That way we can divide the store into quarters and my dh her dh she and I get only the items in our quadrant. I know its a tad bit OCD but it helps cut down on time if there is any question about a price or model number when in the checkout line. This year we are having Thanksgiving together so we can make our lists at the same time and have a seperate collage for price matching at each store. It is great to have reliable shopping partners that are as crazy as myself.
  9. I am hoping to spend a lot less this year. We usually concentrate on getting things for our kids on Black friday, but this year I want to get things for almost everyone that morning. And then order the rest on the following Monday. Last year we went over board. Correction, my husband went overboard, and we spent the rest of the year regretting it. Especially since he was layed off right after Christmas and is still out of work. Plus we are not hosting Christmas this year so that should save us an easy $500.00 right there.
  10. Well I guess that means the Ace rep is a no-good liar, lol.

Seriously, she said it would be e-mailed to me today. I'll send another e-mail...

She was probably just too busy searching the web for other stores adscans, so that she can compile her shopping list, that she decided not to go to work today. Oh wait that was me.

  11. DD6 saw a bratz hair dye/color/whatever kit on clearance a few months ago. She saw Target's orange clearance sticker on it and figured her chances were good so she hounded me until we had to leave the store. She has been begging for pink hairspray ever since! She will not be getting hair color stuff or the cupcake maker she has been begging for. I do plan on getting her a regular mini-muffin tin, though. I've already picked up some cake mix and mini cupcake baking cups. Hopefully she can be excited about that.

Our girls must know each other cause those are two of the other items on her list. The hair color thing sounds like a huge mess just waiting to happen. Can anyone say new rugs? I have not checked out the cupcake thing yet, but the easybake oven she got last year has been in the closet taking up space since 12/26. I like your idea about the muffin tins and cake mix. Maybe I'll make her a basket of her own baking supplies.
