The wii will not put out 1080p....the most the wii can do is 480p.

You dont need a HDMI for the wii.....Wii uses the colored connectors...So you will need this.... http://www.amazon.com/HD-Link-Wii-nintendo/dp/B000LFJN7K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1260201994&sr=8-2 But IMO you don't really need HD wii cables they only give out 480p not a major difference compared to the PS3, and the xbox.... for the cable box, Blu Ray, PS3, Xbox, you will need a HDMI and yes it will work.
