Wow.. that's really all I can say... Wow... I am not one to camp out for days in advance with work and family commitments but if I were to camp out I would love you have your kind of set up! Good job and Happy BF!

Ditto! The other day one of my Dr.'s at work asked me why would you do it? It seems so crazy! I told him that BF is my favorite sport! hehe

Congratulations to all of the winners and thanks to everyone for all of the great tips! -
I have the same mentality about it that you do.... "If I get the deal I do, if I don't I don't" I have waaaaay too much fun on BF to get my panties in a bunch just because I missed out on a deal. hehe I have been wondering the same thing about what this year is going to be like. It sorta seemed to me last year that even though the economy was going down the tubes the ads for the most part didn't really reflect that. This year I am really hoping there will be some spectacular deals since consumer spending has just about come to a screaching halt imo. These stores are hurting and need to motivate us with super deals to get us out there and spend our money. We'll see :)

1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why? For me, it was Target and Kohls for the best deals. I got a lot of games, music, dvds, etc at Target and tons of clothes and goodies from Kohls. I also loved that Kohls did their KohlsCash promo so I was able to go back later with my KohlsCash and pick up a few other goodies! 2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday? Be organized and above all have fun! 3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF? Freebies, using the ticket system and having maps showing where the hot deals are located in the store. Oh and offering free coffee to the faithful line standers would be a nice touch! -
I work in an operating room in a pretty busy county-like hospital and we always run a skeleton crew on Thanksgiving and BF. I have signed up to work on Thanksgiving a few times just so I could make sure to have BF off lol. Last year I was on call on BF and thankfully didn't get called in, and this year I am totally off, no skeleton crew or call for me...YAY! Come on BF!!!!!

I really like your index card trick! I spend every Thanksgiving afternoon/evening sitting on the floor with all of my ads, a notebook, and a pen and write down the stores I'm going to and in what order but then I always have to take the ads with me and sort through them which can be frustrating! I'm going to try your idea this year!

In past years my husband always went with me but we divorced so I will be going out alone.... That's cool though, because I was always moving faster than him anyway lol

I was on sears.com two days ago and saw the link to Christmas Lane. I was able to restrain myself from clicking but I think my will power is going to take a hit today. I really want to look! LOL

As of now, how much do you plan on spending this holiday?
fluresentcrayon replied to Brad's topic in 2009
I voted slightly less than last year because I already found a fantastic deal on a 55" Blu-Ray player and 55" LCDtv that I had my eye on and I have it hidden from my kids till Christmas. HAHA. So I will be looking for the smaller items that are on my list
