I haven't seen this mentioned yet. I found Little Debbie Cherry Cordial treats for $0.16. They were mixed in with the Valentine's Day Little Debbie snacks. I went through the register and was shocked when they rang up that price. I went back and got 4 more boxes to freeze for future lunches. Plenty left at the Western Hills Cincinnati Location.

Thanks! Lots of interesting stuff

Oh, I forgot to mention that I noticed several toys at Beechmont that were only 30% there and were 50% at the other stores. Do you see this with Beechmont often?
Beechmont and Fields Ertel tend to be the slowest to mark down stuff. They are not my usual stores, but when I am over that way it seems like they are behind the stores on the westside. I checked out Colerain today, and still 50%. I love to stock up on present's for my nephew during this sale. More bang for my buck. :)

Oakley (my favorite) is usually a day behind on clearance compared to this thread. All the other Cincy stores seems to have no pattern. I always find the best selection at Beechmont.Milford, Beechmont and Cinti (Oakley)
Did you happen to look at Housewares or Camping? I was hoping they would be marked down 75% today. I have my eye on a tent at Oakley.

Hello~new here and have been loving the information. I hit 3 stores in Cincinnati area at 8am and all were 30-50% still. Last year, the 75% happened on this day. I don't have numbers, but I can tell you some of the things I've been seeing in toys:
Trio castle, The Christmas Story train set, some of the Precious Princess toys, My Little Pony sets-one like Newborn Cuties and the one looks like bubble gum machine, Targets firetruck, semi that holds several other trucks, Target truck that holds a bunch of cars inside and stores them, Barbie laptap, Barbie register scanner, Little People ABC bus, Batman Car, Parents bristle blocks sets.
I did have an associate with a markdown scanner in audio/video scan a few things and they did not have a further markdown to 75%. Does this mean there is no chance it would get marked down this afternoon?
I think I read that the markdown team doesn't work past 3pm.
Thanks
Glad to see another Cincy person on the board. Which 3 did you hit? I thought about driving out to the Colerain or Western Hills locations?

I am also waiting for camping stuff to be marked down more. Still 50% here...just checked last night!
I checked last night too. I ended up buying one tent at 50% off, because there were only 2 left. It is on my brother's wedding registry, and I didn't want to miss out. I'm hoping that it goes 75% off this Thursday, and I can return the one I bought at 50% off.

I've been waiting for tents and camping gear to go 75% here in Cincinnati. I am hoping this is the week. Has anyone seen camping gear go 75% recently where you live? Is it considered sporting goods and therefore marked down on Thursdays?
-
Is anyone in the Cincinnati area? Have toys gone 75% off at any of the local stores? With the snow, I don't want to venture out unless it is 75%.

I haven't seen this mentioned yet. There are red/green 3-packs of Target tissue that are marked down. I found them in the regular tissue aisle. At 75% off, they are ringing up 99 cents. Great deal for tissues. I stocked up for my classroom.

I am in line at Meijer in Northern Kentucky.

I was there for the grand opening, and it was packed. Traffic just crawled.
When I went to the outlet in Jeffersonville a few years ago, it was crazy.

I have those curtains in my bedroom. They are great! I plan on buying more for my guest bedroom.

maybe I'll drive up to Indianapolis to see if they have any good deals. I love Macy's.

QUESTION ABOUT POST-CHRISTMAS CLEARANCE:
Just wondering what people thing we should do:
1. Keep this thread open until 12/31 (and include all Xmas clearance posts) and start normal new thread 1/1 (which may also have leftover Xmas posts).
2. Close this thread tonight and start new thread for Q1 2009 early so Xmas clearance will be at the beginning of the new thread and contained all in one thread.
3. Create a separate thread just for Xmas clearance discussion (and close this one 12/31 & open new one for 1/1)
Thoughts?
My vote is for starting a new thread just for Christmas. :)

How much is the ride-along normally? This might be a good Christmas present for my brother.

I bought my items last week. There was no line at customer service. She scanned my receipt and credited the amount back to my credit card. So easy!
While I was there, I decided to buy a few videos that were on sale. The woman in front of me in line purchased "The Notebook," but it did not ring up the correct price. Before the customer could mention the incorrect price, the cashier had her ad out and was entering the advertised price. I love Target! At another store, they would have argued with the customer and held up the line. At Target, they are looking for the lower price for you. :)

Staples typically is usually my first stop. I go to a low-key Staples as well. The manager is super-organized too which helps.
Typically, I get there 45 minutes early and sit in the car until I see someone else get out of their car. Last year I was first in line. :) I am looking for the $79.99 camera for my brother for Christmas.
-
Make sure it is the exact same model number. I tried to price match a camera there with a camera on Best Buys website. The camera on the BB website was silver. The camera Staples had in stock was maroon. They wouldn't price match based on that fact alone. All of the camera features were the same, only the color differed.

I'd like to get the TomTom for my parents for Christmas. The usb drive is tempting too. My bf wants a 32 GB one, but he can make do with an 8 GB instead. :)

I think I will stock up on greeting cards. I always forget to pick up anniversary and birthday cards until the last minute.

Here is the link to the Black Friday ad for "Factory Card & Party Outlet." Wrapping paper (B1G1 free) and cheap cards (4/$1). I'll probably stop by later in the morning to grab a few of these.

For those who have cats...
Monster Bash Cat Treats (includes 2 pouches of Friskies Crunchy Cat treats and 2 pouches of Whisker Lickin's cat treats) - regular price $4.99...on clearance for $2.49. Inside the box is a coupon for $2 off any Purina dog or cat treat. This reduces the price to $0.49!
I grabbed all 4 boxes that were there. Usually one pouch can cost anywhere between $1.30 - $2 here so I basically got 16 pouches for the price of 1 pouch!
-
Another thing to keep in mind is that different Staples have different Black Friday ads. Last year, the front page of the ad varied by region. I lived between 2 different regions. One had the cheap TV and the other didn't.
