  1. From my experience a few years ago.. If you go in the night before and they have all the signs up - they will give you the BF or BThursday prices right at the register.. I've never had to shop kohls for BF or BT.. Usually about an hour before the store closes.. I've had really good luck with this.. And the lines are great!!!

And you can use whatever discount is available on that day - but any of the 10 off or $$ amounts you have to use the day of..

  2. Thanks for the info on the wine cooler. One question though - anyone know why the target inventory checker says "Could not recognize the DCPI value of 072010177"

I did pretty well last night. At first I thought I might end up leaving empty-handed, but then I remembered the scrapbooking area! After Halloween there was nothing to be found, but I found a bunch of Christmas stuff. It was weird though that not all the Christmas stuff was marked down, so I scanned everything. I even found a Halloween thing and of course it came up item not found, so they gave me 80% off (i didn't want to push it to 90% since I did want the item ;) ) I also found a pack of the wintery snowflake plates someone had just tossed on an end-cap. And of course picked up some candy with the Target coupons.

They had a ton of Christmas scrapbooking.. but like you said only half of it was on clearance.. I noticed someone went in ahead of me and hid some stuff.. well I found it.. it was hidden with some other scrapbook stickers and stuck behind them.. I also noticed someone stuffed a bunch of stuff in the bottom rack under the scrapbooks.. smart idea.. but I found what I wanted anyways and left them hidden.. I figure I got what I wanted anyways.. no reason to uncover the hiding spot..

  3. I am not sure but I have seen here on the boards where the cashiers are typing something into the registers and its getting the last price listed on the item? not sure if that would come up with the Christmas items but if its obviously Christmas, they are probably going to give you only 10% back (90% clearance). Just a note, it specifically indicates Holiday/seasonal items in their return policy. They instituted this about 4-5 years ago, give or take since so many people were returning items bought at 50% and buying again at 75% or 90% to take advantage of the better sale.

    Target Stores Return Policy

We will issue a full refund for most items returned within 90 days in new condition, with the original receipt, packaging and accessories. A form of personal identification may be required.

    Also, please note:

Music, movies, video games, software and collectibles must be returned unopened.

Camcorders, digital cameras, portable DVD players and portable electronics are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Holiday and Seasonal merchandise on clearance at the time of the return will be refunded at the current clearance price.

Any purchase made by check may be refunded as a merchandise voucher.

Refund value for each item returned will be reduced to reflect value of free gift or discount.

    Other restrictions may apply.

All other returns or exchanges - including those without a receipt - will be offered manufacturers' warranty and repair assistance at 1-800-303-0308.

They've had that quote "holiday and seasonal items" up for over two years now at MI Targets and have not been enforcing it.. Also, ask a Customer Service Team Member if you can return it if it doesnt match your decor / you dont like it / whatever reason.. They'll tell you how that store operates... But its the chance you take.. most good stuff goes quick.. So buy it at 50% - you're still getting a good deal either way...

  4. What about if I got a holiday items (Christmas tree, ornaments) at regular price and now it has dropped down to 50-75% off clearance? Will I be able to get a price adjustment for the lower price within the 14-day price adjustment policy?

If anyone can shed some light on their own experience that'd be great!

    Thank you!

Nope. They will not price adjust on clearance items.. unfortunately.. or we'd all be waiting til they go on clearance and go back to price adjust within our 90 day return period.. I have heard of some cases that the manager would.. but your best bet is if you see it on clearance.. pick it up and return it with your non-clearance receipt.. but thats a moral issue up to you..

  5. what if you return it 90 days after you buy it as that is target's policy... the christmas items are long gone and maybe they dont even have the SKU's anymore... how much will they give back to you?

After 90 days - even with a receipt - they will give you nothing.. I had this happen.. Bought a pair of headphones for the husband.. couldnt find the receipt.. couldnt return them because they were opened (Customer Service demanded a receipt).. found the receipt a year later - they wouldnt give me anything.. :( But I cant complain.. they were on clearance at a really good price anyways :)

  6. I doubt they will let you re-purchase them right away. You would probably have to wait till they put them back on the shelf and take our chances that you would get them.

Had this happen.. returned an item I really didnt need 2 more of (I bought 4 already on clearance).. Found out it was 75% off. Told the customer service desk I actually wanted to rebuy them. They told me to wait until they went back on the shelves.. They were really cool and I kept checking to see if they had re-stocked them while I was doing my clearance rounds.. Just before I was checking out they were pushing them back to the shelf.. I was told I had to wait until they physically put them on the shelf to put them in my cart.. They were really cool about it, which I cant complain..

  7. There was one out of place in my store last night (MI) and I scanned it but it came up $50 something. Wish it was that low I would have added it to my ds christmas stuff.

    Where at in MI?

To add about hiding stuff... I did this once for the video games.. It was right in front of the TV section.. and I did it without being seen.. but when I went back to get it when they finally went 75% off.. I felt horrible.. I almost didnt buy it because I felt like someone was watching me.. but at least I have a huge puffy jacket so they wouldnt have noticed my hiding location behind the rack.. you couldnt see the video game.. only could feel it to make sure it was still there.. I dont know if Id ever do it again.. but it was the Tiger Woods 07 Wii game that the husband really wanted.. Got it for 12.48 :)

Plus if youre in your local target store enough, they know you really well - as is the case with mine.. so they may know you shop clearance and wont question it.. (maybe) :)

  8. I was at Target today, did see some Air Wick decospheres for 1.64 but I didn't buy, because I knew I had a coupon at home! I did snag a two pack of the Good Start 12.9 oz formula for $13, used a $11 check from Nestle, got two cans of formula for $2!!! That's probably the best deal I have ever gotten. Plus they had coupons for $1 off Air Wick scented oil in the paper couple weeks back. They had the two packs on sale for $3.99, also had coupon for buy the refils get a free warmer unit. Our Target had two packs of warmer units, so paid $2.99 for two refils and two warmer units! These make great little gifts for teachers or whoever! I love target clearance!

You know you can buy them and take your coupons back in and they will price adjust. I always have my coupons in my laptop bag and leave them out in the car. So they just say bring your coupons in the next time you shop (including your receipt) and they will give you the price adjust.. Thats why I love Target!!

  9. Salvage at Target means that they get packed up and sold off to a salvage company or one of the big charities like Goodwill or Salvation Army. Not repacked to sell on the sales floor. You can see that the NJ stores sell it through Liquidation.com.

The Goodwills in MI buy a tons of Target clearance.. which can be nice especially because they sell it at 90% off and with the tags on (sometimes).. So I cant complain.. plus its going to a good cause and Target takes it as a write-off / donation.. You can get really nice Christmas gifts from Goodwill - but Target quality..

They even have the Isaac Mir... dude's clothes at Goodwill..

  10. Could be the problem of too few stores for the large population. Or, could just be the fall lull. See how it is after Christmas. That is when the real clearance action starts up again. It is incredible from January to March or so.

We were there on business.. so I dont care.. :) Im from MI and our economic state is in crisis.. so everything is super cheap... Anyone want to buy a house.. there are tons of them in Michigan and at great deals... no promises that youll ever be able to sell it again.. ever!!

  11. I must really suck because I can never find anything on the end caps, let alone mm for .69!! I was there today and tried to look for deals but couldn't find anything. What's the secret to finding this stuff?

I'm going to a different Target tomorrow so I'd like to try my luck again!

The Chicago area is horrible for Target clearance!! I know my husband and I went to like 4 of them and found no good clearance back in Oct...

    :(

  12. I was looking at the Aquos 46 at CC, I don't see a minimum number available? Anyone know how many items they usually have?

They prolly only have 2.. and if you arent first in line.. you arent getting it.. Many people are going for that TV.. Im not standing out in the cold..

We bought a Panasonic HDTV 1080p 42" at BB on Saturday for 100.00 more.. and we get 0% for 3 years!! Cant beat that.. especially when someone else has to wait out in the cold.. Id rather pay the 100-300 more not to stand in the cold.

  13. Me and my brother in law went to CC yesterday and i got Black Friday

pricing on the Panny th42 px75u on the spot and the bro in law got the

42'' Sharp Aquos. He has to go back on the saturday after black friday

    to get the price adjustment.

Beats the heck out of waiting in line for several hours.

We were told that CC doesnt price match on BF ads or specials on BF.... Might want to get that in writing!!

  14. Wonder if it would help to print out the online ad??

I will pay it off immediately, I am no FOOL!!

Didnt help.. We were told that we could go into the store and they would honor the online printout.. Stood for managers for over 2 hrs and got told that they would never match anything online nor will they match it even if it was on sale!

  15. Anyone know what the final price on the 46 inch Sony 1080 LCD would be? It appears to me that the $300 off bring the price down to $1899 (current sale price is $2199) and the $500 down to $1399. If this ad is implying it is $800 off the $1899 price, this becomes $1099 for a 46 in Bravia 1080p...a very good deal I think?

The one online and the one in the paper ad are completely different..

Went into the store today and it was a total mess..

They were offering the S3000 model for 1399 *after discounts* when online it says the V3000 is the one for 1399 *after paper ad discount* but after online discounts it seems it should be 1099..

The managers wouldnt budge offering the V3000 and only said the S3000 was available!!

I wouldnt suggest going with the S3000 model.. its junk.. as for the V3000.. good luck... It will be more than a hassle..
